Role Description

An Associate Engineer is responsible for developing and delivering elements of engineering solutions to accomplish business goals. Awareness is expected of the important engineering principles of the Bank. Root cause analysis skills are developed through addressing enhancements and fixes to products. They attempt to build reliability and resiliency into solutions through early testing, peer reviews and automating the delivery lifecycle.

Your key responsibilities

• Determining the appropriate technological solutions to balance IT delivery and compliance
• Identifying gaps in the current infrastructure solutions and implementing the associated improvements whilst ensuring compliance with technical roadmaps
• Improving the safety and security of IT applications, compliance with internal and external standards and operational readiness
• Supporting the bank's audit function in the remediation of audit points and issues in order to reduce both business risks and IT Application risks
• Ensuring application compliance to various policies associated with IT asset management and Information Security of the data within the IT applications
• Identifying opportunities to incorporate new technologies/approaches into best practice

Your skills and experience

• 5+ years of experience in similar role or application management.
• Knowledge of IT Service Management. Hands-on ITIL experience is a Plus.
• Tools Used: Jira, Confluence, Geneos monitoring tool, IntelliJ .
• Experience in working in Risk, IT Run the Bank and Support domains.
• Good understanding of UNIX commands
• Good understanding of Public Key infrastructure.
• Ability to schedule and manage execution of application processes with an approved scheduler operating in batches using follow-the-sun model.
• Basic Technical capabilities and infrastructure knowledge (e.g.: Oracle database, PL/SQL, Linux, etc)
• Experience of familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Teamcity, GIT, Maven, Artifactory etc
• Some experience on Google Cloud is desirable but not mandatory
• Experience of working together with Agile/Scrum teams and their methods.
• The ideal candidate should have good English spoken and written skills, being an excellent communication with experience in stakeholder management (business & IT).
• Flexibility & Adaptability: ability to control multiple assignments and prioritizing them and adjusting to suit with real condition and assignments.
• Experience working with diverse, cross-functional and geographically separated teams in an agile environment
