Job Overview

We are looking for an Electro-mechanical Engineer who is good in basics of switchgear products design and a creative designer with sound knowledge in creating complex 3d model and assembly.

A Day In The Life

• Interact with US clients to understand and gather project requirements.
• Generate conceptual 3D model, engineering calculations and detailed design using Autodesk Inventor.
• Converting the ideas into practically feasible product-oriented design.
• Deliver complete and accurate detailed design drawings as required for part manufacturing with GD&T.
• Create Drawings based on ASME Y14.5M \xe2\x80\x93 1994 standards.
• Support for the electrical product testing with respect to IEEE standards.
• Generate documentation including design spec, part drawings, engineering bill of materials and assembly drawing per Hubbell standard.
• Take ownership and drive the EC cycle for all the new products launches.
• Acts as a bridge between the product design engineers and operations team.
• Knowledge on DFM and DFA is an added advantage.

What will help you thrive in this role?

• Minimum of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering related field required
• Minimum 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in switchgear product design is required.
• Basics knowledge in electrical switchgears and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Basic knowledge in switching and fusing design.
• Proficient in creating 3d models, drawings and assemblies in inventor and SolidWorks.
• Good knowledge in GD&T, tolerance stack up analysis.
• Basic to mid-level in sheet-metal, casting and plastics component design considering the manufacturing feasibility.
• Knowledge in ASTM standards and material selection.
• Hands on experience in ECM through SAP.
• Solid understanding and working knowledge in Autodesk vault and SolidWorks PDM.
• Knowledge in design tools like MCTO, VE, 6Sigma etc.
