Description of Role
We are looking for enthusiastic career-minded professionals with global perspective to join the Mumbai based Portfolio Manager
Support Services Group.
This role will support MSIM\xe2\x80\x99s Core Global Emerging Markets (GEM) Team on the Emerging Market Equity (EME) platform which
manages over $14B of assets across several emerging markets equity and non-U.S. equity offerings. The individual will help
support the analysts and portfolio management team with research, analytics, and financial modelling.
Key responsibilities
As a part of the Mumbai-based Emerging Market Equity team, the individual will be an integral part of the Core GEM team working
directly with research analysts and portfolio managers to create and implement research projects across the team. We are looking
for someone with a unique blend of business, financial and technical data skills who is looking to make an impact and grow
responsibilities over time within the team.
To succeed in this role, you should be a self-starter, creative, and curious, with an interest in leveraging data and analytics to
develop models and innovative research solutions.
The individual will be responsible for the following:
1. Work with the investment team to identify and understand relevant drivers of stock performance within specific sectors and
industries.
2. Strong company fundamental/stock analysis skills, data analysis with sell side experience
3. Develop, back test and maintain sector-specific multifactor models to assist in security selection and portfolio construction.
4. Conduct financial analysis and modeling.
5. Support multiple projects across all focus areas through data gathering, modeling and analysis.



QUALIFICATIONS

Experience and Skills
1. In depth knowledge of the global investment management industry.
2. The ability to work effectively in a thoughtful, collaborative team environment, while being able to execute on deliverables
individually.
3. Strong communication skills, interacting effectively with quantitative colleagues as well as less technical audiences.
4. Passion for investment management and emerging markets.
5. Excellent verbal and writing skills in English.
6. Strong financial analysis and equity modeling skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Qualification / Technical Expertise
1. Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree (master\xe2\x80\x99s degree would be a plus) in Accounting, Finance, Business, Science or related fields.
2. CFA or CFA candidate preferred.
3. Experience with financial tools and databases (e.g., FactSet, Bloomberg, MSCI Barra).
4. 3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 relevant professional experience (e.g., Investment Management, Capital Markets, Data Science)
5. A strong foundation and understanding of financial modeling and quantitative analysis.
