:About the Role:Grade Level (for internal use): 12The Team:The role sits within S&P Global Ratings\' Vendor & Affiliate Management Office (VMO) within the In-Business Control (IBC) team. This global role is central to Ratings\' risk and control oversight of its use of vendors/affiliates.The Impact:This role plays a crucial role in protecting and enhancing S&P Global Ratings\' franchise. You will help ensure that we manage our vendors/affiliates efficiently, effectively, and in line with policies throughout the vendor lifecycle, including in relation to the vendor/affiliate's performance, cost, risk, and adherence to contract.What you stand to Gain:This role provides significant variety, flexibility and growth opportunities. It is therefore best suited to those seeking a flexible role offering a mix of project and operational activities, where your relationship management, influencing and presentation skills can shine.Responsibilities:Manage the end-to-end vendor/affiliate lifecycle for key vendors/affiliates.

  • Provide key input to VMO's oversight of strategic vendor/affiliate relationships, with a focus on CRISIL Global Analytical Centre (GAC), Wipro, Digital Solutions, EPAM, Ness etc
  • Coordinate risk assessments related to affiliates and ensure periodic risk re-certifications are completed on time
  • Support the monitoring of vendors/affiliates\' performance and general adherence to their contracts
Lead the VMO's oversight of vendor/affiliate compliance risk and related controls
  • Design and build interactive reports and presentations to senior management, including new insights
  • Chair the Vendor Compliance Risk Oversight Meeting (VCROM) with supporting materials
  • Manage Vendor Compliance Controls Assessments (VCCAs) for applicable vendors/affiliates
  • Lead Vendor Managers and vendors/affiliates to close any controls gaps identified in the VCCA
  • Continually validate that control owners across SPGI and the vendor/affiliate are effectively operating their respective vendor control(s)
  • Manage relevant policies, procedures and standard work related to vendor compliance risk and controls.
Support escalation, reporting and remediation of risks, issues and incidents.
  • Escalate risks, issues and incidents identified in the monitoring of vendors/affiliates to appropriate governance bodies.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects, including remediation of risk and control issues.
Support or manage risk & control management activities.
  • Co-ordinate periodic control testing for nearly 30 outsourcing controls
  • Support risk management oversight, including reporting to senior management.
  • Support audit, regulatory and other activities, as required.
Key Qualifications and skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree: an advanced degree (MBA or Master's) preferred but not essential.
  • A S&P employee at this level typical has over 7 years of similar experience in Operations or Vendor Management.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
  • Technical expertise in gathering and managing data is required.
  • Very strong communication skills, including leading and presenting effectively in meetings, and communicating clearly in presentations, reports, and e-mails.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills: able to establish strong internal relationships, including being able to influence stakeholders across the organization.
  • Strong track record of project execution, problem-solving and process-improvement with emphasis on quality and timely delivery
  • Proactive, willing to be hands-on and eager to take full responsibility for key processes and tasks, including complex tasks that require a detail-oriented approach.
  • Able to operate independently with appropriate levels of supervision and able to work effectively across different cultures and time zones.
  • The following are preferred but are not essential: Tableau skills, Visio skills; knowledge of risk and control concepts, processes, and frameworks; knowledge and experience of working with a third-party provider; knowledge of operating in a regulated entity.
