:OverviewPGCS India is a key pillar in the concentrate model, supplying concentrate to bottlers across the high growth India market. India Supply Chain Manager will champion strong growth in the coming years through key strategic initiatives and partnership with PGCS cross functional and Sector teams.India Supply Chain Manager will lead the Supply Chain organisation to deliver strategic plans, customer service excellence and the operational imperatives. Lead & direct execution of all India supply chain activities, including order fulfillment (delivery & documentation creation), supply planning (capacity, production, materials and inventory planning), logistics and transportation, 3PL warehousing and Innovation, to exceed customer expectation at lowest cost, aligned to overall PGCS strategy.The role also delivers metrics and related activities within the Supply Chain Management team to drive supply chain alignment with both internal and external customers.India Supply Chain Manager will provide Supply Chain leadership in the construction of a new concentrate manufacturing facility in India, providing strong governance and leadership, acting as the Supply Chain representative to all internal and external stakeholders.The position will ensures compliance with company values, principles, policies, procedures, applicable laws and industry standards..
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for setting the agenda, leading best-practice implementation and execution, as well as achieving service and inventory targets -

  • Develop, Lead and Motivate the India supply chain team. Develop strength within the group through coaching and training to ensure strategic and operational targets are met. Input to organization structure evolution to balance business and career development needs for immediate team and department and to drive increasing organizational health
  • Develop a Supply Planning strategy in support of achieving target customer service levels with a minimum investment in inventories;
  • Establish and execute a best-in-class Supply and Inventory planning process and continuously improve techniques, method, and approach; India YE Inventory USD$41.6MM
  • Partner with Support Centre Supply chain to execute against key strategic initiatives e.g. Digital Agenda, Segmentation, Demand signal enhancement, innovation speed, BPC etc in line with functional and enterprise imperatives;
  • Review, align and resolve India region inventory compliance, taking into consideration costs;
  • Lead the ongoing review of short to long term capacity and supply capability including AOP and Strategic Plan input. Provide visibility of supply risks and opportunities into India plants management;
  • Lead third party management activities, including warehousing, inventory management, customer shipments, and invoicing
  • Provide leadership in the development and execution of (Annual, Quarterly etc) Budgets and forecasts ensuring India cost targets are achieved and competitive situation is maintained.
  • Drive the delivery of a comprehensive suite of KPIs to monitor performance and ensure targets are achieved for the India BU Markets.
  • Drive a Productivity and improvement agenda in supply chain processes by identifying and removing non-added value steps and identifying and implementing service improvement initiatives. Champion identification and implementation of opportunities to drive both cost and time savings setting the vision, tone and expectations from the simplification, optimisation and automation agendas.
  • Senior PGCS India Leadership role in creating Plant direction and culture;
  • Meet all internal & external compliance responsibilities.
  • Customer Engagement: lead the management of 4 markets for the India region representing $$XXX USD as revenue, total market sales in ASU is 1.2 MM (802MM 8Oz Cases); support the planning, forecasting and order management for 60 kits; manage market insights and intelligence to enhance customer engagement. In addition, as part of customer service activities this role needs to ensure regular S&OP calls are held with customers and BU to provide prompt status updates and to discuss on any open issues
  • Lead face to face meetings with customers and BU to define strategy for the market and continuously work on strengthening and streamlining the processes and demand signals through the extended supply chain.
  • Establish and manage customer relationships ensuring appropriate service level agreements aligned with strategy.
  • Partner with the Commercialisation Team to support the innovation agenda for the region, in average 6+ innovations per year representing a 1.6% growth on a yearly basis for PEP. Ensuring a flawless execution of the projects meeting the timelines required by the markets.
  • Be the escalation point of contact for supply chain topics impacting the market or the plants
Systems
  • Leveraging SAP tools for long term capacity and material planning
  • Drive data hygiene for the site
  • Leading the insurance recovery for any in transit damage
  • Implement Best Practice Sharing arising out of Peer interaction/ Plant visits .
  • Generation of appropriate MIS and analytics on a regular basis to support performance management systems

  • Ensure product CTH classification are harmonized per global database
  • Interface to FSSAI & other customs interfacing government agencies
People Management
  • Ensure compliance to global core people processes for the team
  • Drive talent pipeline for the team through People Plan process
Deveop teams capability through structured inventions for future readinesLead Order Fulfillment processes within India region, including appropriate and effective processes for order capture, order processing (including credit considerations), delivery and shipment execution, complaints management and product life-cycle activities including New Products.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain/Operations or other relevant field of study with 10+ years or experience with companies of repute/
  • Multi-market, multi-site supply chain with deep understanding of supply chain activities and business critical planning and ability to take a pragmatic practical approach.
  • Proven ability to manage business complexity and change, and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent supervisory and communication skills and strong interpersonal skills coupled with collaborative approach, to get things done both up and across the organization
  • Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization , ability to influence and align teams in a matrix and virtual environment
  • Excellent negotiation and analytical skills and an innovative approach to design and problem solving
  • Willing and able to travel (approx. 30% of their time)
  • Resilient, with flexible upbeat and positive attitude to act as strong role model for Asia Organisation and Global Supply Chain team
  • Multi-cultural acumen and cross-cultural communications
  • An understanding of PepsiCo manufacturing asset base and SAP is desirable
