The role will assess and review the work of Solution architecture roles and create a balance between theimmediate and the strategic. A Senior Solution Architect will understand implications of architecture requirements to As- Is architectures and define/update To-Be architectures applying AZ architecture guiding principles. As a Senior Solution Architect, the Role is focused on Current Project Portfolios typically over the 0-18 month horizon.Senior Solution ArchitectThe role will be accountable to provide solution design support in one of the below focused domains of architecture.\xc3\x98 Data\xc3\x98 Application\xc3\x98 Infrastructure\xc2\xb7 Accountable for the direction, performance and ongoing health of the current solution architectures within one or more given portfolios.\xc2\xb7 Define and manage the Solution Architecture Principles for the given portfolio(s).\xc2\xb7 Accountable for the architecture and design of comprehensive set of solutions that meet business requirements and are aligned to AstraZenecas Enterprise Architecture, providing subject matter expertise to ensure business opportunities are identified and realised in line with a standard and cost effective architecture.\xc2\xb7 The role will guide and support other architects (including third party suppliers) in the development and documentation of IS/IT architectures for complex and business critical projects.\xc2\xb7 The role will be accountable for driving solution evaluation and selection decisions, buy vs. build decisions, and early- phase project estimates which contribute to the business case.\xc2\xb7 Lead the effort to ensure that common architecture decisions support the business and IS strategy, and that the architectures delivered are compliant with relevant AZ architecture standards, blueprints and roadmaps.\xc2\xb7 Participate in Architecture Assessments & Reviews either as Lead Reviewing Architect or as a Subject Matter Expert in the review team.\xc2\xb7 Contribute to the development of the Architecture Capability within IS, by documenting and sharing knowledge and best practices with peer Architects\xc2\xb7 Be accountable for the architecture and design of comprehensive solutions that meet business requirements and are aligned to AstraZenecas Enterprise Architecture,\xc2\xb7 Provide subject matter expertise to ensure business opportunities are identified and realised in line with a standard and cost effective solution architecture.\xc2\xb7 Guide and support other architects (including third party suppliers) in the development and documentation of IS/ITarchitectures for complex and business critical projects.\xc2\xb7 Be accountable for driving solution evaluation and selection decisions, buy vs. build decisions, early-phase project estimates, and proof of concepts which contribute to the business case.\xc2\xb7 Create estimates for solution delivery including expertise to validate third party estimates and hence ensure value for money\xc2\xb7 Deliver feedback to Enterprise Architects on how to improve Architecture Standards\xc2\xb7 Document best practices, drive reuse of existing solutions and in cooperation with other Architects promote newsolutions for reuse.\xc2\xb7 Escalate (to Enterprise Architects) architecture design issues related to possible alternative solutions\xc2\xb7 Review Statement of Work responses from Suppliers.Education, Qualifications, and ExperienceEssentialRelevant technical degree or equivalent\xc2\xb7 Experience demonstrating proficiency in at least one technical domain.\xc2\xb7 Experience implementing and maintaining business solution architectures under any formal framework for their domain of architecture.\xc2\xb7 Proven consultancy experience designing end to end solutions that operate across all domains of IT.\xc2\xb7 Experience developing and leading innovative solutions\xc2\xb7 Proven experience of leading change and challenging approaches/ideas.\xc2\xb7 Proven ability to influence across business and IT.\xc2\xb7 Experience developing and managing relationships with third party suppliers\xc2\xb7 Experience with policies, procedures and guidelines within a quality, compliant, and secure environment\xc2\xb7 Experience with large scale solution Justification phase work - product evaluation, business case formulation\xc2\xb7 Experience directing cross functional teamsDesirableDemonstrated initiative, strong customer orientation, and cross-cultural working \xc2\xb7People Development experienceSkills and CapabilitiesEssentialStrong networking skills with good internal/external links\xc2\xb7 Well developed communication and facilitation skills\xc2\xb7 Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language at all levels of leadership.\xc2\xb7 Awareness of developments in the marketplace for domain focus and potential impact to AZ ISDesirableProven business acumen \xc2\xb7 Understanding of the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry and of competitor activity, on a particular architecture and Information Management \xc2\xb7 Ability to work well in diverse, multinational teams and proven ability to influence others to achieve positive outcomes \xc2\xb7 Masters and/or Professional CertificationWHY JOIN US?Were a network of high-reaching self-starters who contribute to something far bigger.
