This enterprise-wide strategic initiative will help GSK to align strategic and operational plans, make better & faster demand and supply decisions based on accurate data and respond quickly to changing supply and market conditions to achieve business objectives.As a Product Owner for Advanced Scheduling, you will be responsible for ensuring the Advanced Scheduling Tech Product is developed, maintained and that associated support staff undertaking day to day support, compliance, maintenance, upgrades, delivery, and decommissioning activities are doing so in line with the appropriate product strategy and GSK policies and procedures. This position is also accountable for working with our strategic suppliers to ensure service management is delivering on agreed KPIs/SLAs and providing technical support as required.This role will provide you with an opportunity to lead key activities and to progress your career. Key responsibilities include some of the following:

• Ownership of product delivery capacity and capability, as well as accountability for service management processes for product. This includes direct or indirect management of Tech Developers for the product.
• Ensure that requested work is aligned to agreed demand types and entered into the product backlog.
• Monitor and ensure the capacity of the technical team is managed to fulfil highest priority demand activities.
• Point of contact for relevant parties associated to major disruptions and/or amendments to the allocated product lines.
• Act as escalation point and coordinator (as required) for resolution of major outages.
• Liaison with strategic suppliers, application vendors, product managers, and business to ensure support services (and licencing) are suitable and maintained.
• Eliminate support and maintenance costs associated with allocated assets by decommissioning, or consolidating similar products as approved by Product Director.
• Work with Product Directors and Product Managers to ensure products are maintained and current. Ensure component currency and upgrade projects are visible on the product backlog and are prioritized accordingly.
• Work closely with strategic suppliers and product managers to secure appropriate funding to supplement technical resources as needed, in the support of product delivery changes.
• Serve as GSK point of contact for service operations performance, and ensure strategic partners are delivering on KPIs around services they manage.
• Responsible for ensuring that the GSK Service Management Standard Processes are applied and adhered to including embedding and adopting standard ways of working in accordance with Tech Quality Risk and Compliance policies.
• Maintain awareness of Product backlog and future direction of allocated Product lines and continually assess impact on operations demand, resources, and requirements.
• Working closely with Product Director and Product Directors/Managers to determine, document and agree support models and service level requirements for new products/applications.
• Provides leadership, support, direction, and GSK process knowledge/expertise to Technical Operations teams composed of GSK, strategic partners, and software vendors.
• Enable technical product teams to work following Agile practices.

Why You?Qualifications & Skills:

• Total years of experience of 16+ years with a bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in any discipline.
• Experience in Advanced Scheduling and Planning solutions. OMP preferably, but also SAP, 09, Aera, Kinaxis.
• Youxe2x80x99ve been part of teams that have developed or delivered successful software products from concept to adoption.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deploy new systems to large user base.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment, ability to solve complex problems and deliver significant process improvements.
• Agile Delivery using Kanban or Scrum and familiarity with Agile delivery tools.
