Job PurposeThe Commercial Digital & Tech team is one of the most dynamic teams in GSK. It is focused on strengthening GSKxe2x80x99s engagement with Health Care Professionals (HCPs) and Patients. Together, we design and engineer global technology products to enable effective and optimal communication on the science of our therapies in simple, powerful, and trusted ways.To help us achieve our ambitious goals we are looking for a Product Manager who will play a key role in shaping our Commercial Data Platform - a cornerstone of GSKxe2x80x99s commercial operations.This role will allow you to lead all key Product Management activities within the product delivery lifecycle and provides an excellent opportunity for you to progress in your career. You will also have a direct impact on helping our medicines & vaccines get to the people who need them.Your responsibilities include:

• Working closely with BI & data science teams, as well as business units, regions & markets to understand their needs and deliver necessary data infrastructure and tools for advanced analytics and machine learning projects.
• Own the relationship & communication with regions, markets and business units throughout a delivery.
• Evaluating new capabilities and tools provided by technology platforms, and collaborating with Data Engineering and Platform teams to implement those that enhance the data platformxe2x80x99s value
• Where appropriate, coordinate budget for any region data platform initiative, ensuring cost-effective solutions.

Your goal is to ensure the most valuable work is always shipped by our Data Platform teams. To achieve this, you will use best practice Product Management techniques, including:

• Conducting user research (qualitative) to identify the biggest user pain points - generating & evaluating ideas to address them
• Measure (quantitative) the impact of all new work shipped and help to close the learning loop
• Using your learnings, set priorities & goals for the Commercial Data Platform that are both valuable and viable, and publish a clear roadmap to all interested parties
• Continually communicate progress & learnings to stakeholders including end users and senior leadership
• Research & evaluate market and technology trends, bringing the best opportunities and ideas back into the team

And, you must be able to deliver in a large matrix organization:

• Ability to set expectations, resolve conflicts, and priorities based on customer value.
• Build a strong partnership with enabling teams such as GP&T and GRC and key vendors such as Databricks
• Maintain high credibility and deliver real value by shipping products that make our usersxe2x80x99 lives easier and deliver more value for GSKxe2x80x99s commercial business.

Qualifications, skills & experience

• Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. A Masterxe2x80x99s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in product management or in product related roles.
• Ability to perform your role and manage stakeholders across a matrixed organisation and capable of Influencing/negotiating with external 3rd parties

Product Management skills

• Customer Research techniques xe2x80x93 continuous discovery techniques, primary and secondary research methods
• Setting a Product vision, using frameworks such as Product North Star and OKRs
• Prioritizing ideas and opportunities to be built based on customer value
• Conducting planning sessions, resolving conflicts, and setting expectations
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Technical & domain skills & experience

• Data Lakehouse best practices: Medallion, ETL and Event-Driven design patterns
• Data Management techniques: Data Lifecycle Management, Data Lineage, Meta Data Management & Data Cataloguing
• Data Governance methodologies: Policies, Standards & Roles, and knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in data management within the healthcare sector (including GDPR and CCPA)
• Proficient knowledge of data engineering tools and technologies, such as SQL, Spark, Azure and the Databricks Platform
