We need someone that can lead, shape and build the service so that it is scalable and sustainable and most importantly loved by AZ Data Engineers, whilst also being an inspiring engineering leader who can develop their global team, manage and influence multiple stakeholders - all whilst having laser focus on delivery and maximising return of value.What youll doYou will be accountable for developing and delivering the roadmap for the Data Ops Platform services, ensuring we have the right security, rigour, integrations and automation to work efficiently, safely and at speedLeading and working with your team - you will need to define an efffective and agile working practices to ensure that the service evolves to meet user needs whilst ensuring key service metrics, net promoter scores and KPIs are defined, governed, maintained and improved progressivelyYou will ensure we have structure, prioritised backlogs, capacity planning of the team so that dependencies are identified and delivery is predictableYou will be accountable for the cost of run of your service and defining measures to highlight the business value return of the work your team accomplishYou will establish strong working relationships with the data teams, third parties and partners to develop and oversee and aligned strategy of onboarding and migration to the platformAs an engineering leader you will advocate and advance modern, agile development practices and help develop and evangelise great engineering cultureYoull build and develop a high performing team of engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, feedback and hands-on career developmentHIGHLIGHT THE SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES NEEDEDWe consider individuals in this role to be our top tier Engineers; this means you need to be capable of working in multiple spaces and are likely to be the most experienced and skilled engineer on the team. You will raise expectations within the whole team, solve complex technical problems and work alongside complementary delivery platforms.You should apply ifYou have proven ability to work with automation and orchestration technologies such as Jenkins, Airflow or similarYou are able to show where you have successfully worked with an enterprise mindset and having implemented good governance practices, standards and industry best practicesYou have demonstrable experience of working with multiple internal stakeholders to deliver complex roadmapsYou have a strong experience in building partnerships with technical vendorsStrong history as a lead data engineer; managed global technical teams with strong Team Leadership skillsYou have experience working in a global organization with multi-partners, stakeholders and team members are spread out in a diverse culture environmentYou have good exposure to Cloud environmentsYou understand and can lead technical roadmaps for operational monitoring, usability and governanceYou have good awareness and experience working with GxP and SOX compliant platforms and services; and understand key concepts behind data security & protection, access based policies, back up and disaster recovery .WHY JOIN US?Were a network of high-reaching self-starters who contribute to something far bigger.
