Job Title: Associate Director - Patient Safety ScientistCareer Level - EIntroduction to Role:Join our Biopharmaceuticals Business Unit as an Associate Director, Patient Safety Scientist. In this role, you will work collaboratively with the Global Safety Physician (GSP) and Senior patient safety Scientist, reviewing safety data and related documents for potential safety issues. You will have the opportunity to author and provide PV input to safety documents and regulatory reports. This role also offers the chance to lead meetings and present safety data and analyses.Accountabilities:As an Associate Director, you will lead proactive pharmacovigilance and risk management planning for designated products, represent PS on cross-functional project teams, present safety information at external meetings, and perform duties as a Safety Strategy and Management Team (SSaMT) leader. You will also be responsible for producing accurate evaluation documents in response to internal or regulatory authority requests for safety data, authoring the Reference Safety Information (RSI) for assigned products, and providing strategic input to regulatory submissions for new products.Essential Skills/Experience:Qualified to degree level in biosciences or an equivalent healthcare or pharmaceutical industry backgroundProven competency in patient safety/clinical developmentComprehensive understanding of applicable Patient Safety regulatory obligationsAwareness of Patient Safety policies, processes, and proceduresAwareness of medico-legal aspects of patient safety9 to 11 years Patient Safety experienceTotal of 12 to 14 years of experienceWell-developed interpersonal skillsCultural sensitivityAbility to network with other functions globallyWhen we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
