Join the V Team Life.What you'll be doingxe2x80xa6Digital Release Management is responsible for planning, managing, delivering, and validating Digital Content Releases in Production. Digital Content Releases enable Digital Operations to implement promotions, device launches, and other initiatives via VZ's digital platforms, such as the website and the VZ mobile application.As Associate Director, Digital Release Management, responsibilities include:Assessing performance, coaching and developing, holding employees accountable, taking appropriate corrective actions, training, and providing ongoing direction and feedback.Facilitating weekly team meetings for Team USA and Team India.Leveraging cross-training within the team to maintain the ongoing, fast-paced, dynamic content publishing process, while accommodating resource unavailability (e.g., illness, vacation).Defining, maintaining, and publishing detailed monthly schedules for Digital Content Releases based on planned promotions, device launches, plan launches, and other Verizon initiatives.Assigning Digital Release Management resources (e.g., Sprint Managers, Team USA Release Managers, Team India Release Managers) to the planned content releases based, e.g., on resource availability.Scheduling special/restricted content releases to accommodate dynamic business needs.Conducting ongoing risk mitigation for Digital Content Releases; e.g., load balancing across releases, risk assessment of content requests/releases, adjustment of content release plans to be executed in parallel with (known) GTS releases/load tests, and tracking of Prod-only validation items per release.Collecting data and creating trend reports regarding the Release Quality/Health for content releases.Tracking Fast-Paths or expedited content requests.Maintaining the Confluence Space for Digital Release Management, which contains, e.g., release management roles and responsibilities, release schedules, release partner contacts, release deployment information, and release process documentation.Participation/support of Digital Operational Excellence (OE) efforts and/or Verizon quality/process improvement initiatives.What we're looking forxe2x80xa6You'll need to have:Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.Experience with leading a team, mentoring, and coaching.Experience with and understanding of Release Management fundamentals.Experience with ecommerce.Experience with Project Management processes.Knowledge of SDLC and Agile practices.Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion.Even better if you have:Prior experience with managing people.Experience with JIRA is strongly preferred.Prior wireless experience is a plus.Strong written and verbal communications skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to multi-task.Strong attention to detail.Ability to work under pressure and interact with partners on all aspects of the delivery life cycle concurrently.If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every xe2x80x9ceven betterxe2x80x9d qualification listed above.Where you'll be working In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.Scheduled Weekly Hours 40Equal Employment OpportunityWe're proud to be an equal opportunity employer - and celebrate our employees' differences, including race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, and Veteran status.
