Purpose:
PepsiCo GBS function is institutionalizing a Digital Factory to optimize its processes, services and experiences. To start with, this Digital Factory will consist of an Automation Factory and a Reporting Factory and will jointly work with other stakeholders to rationalize, optimize, re-imagine and automate processes and reports across Sales, Operations/ Supply Chain, HR, and Marketing & Insights.
This role will be part of the CTO Enterprise Architecture team and will guide the planning and design of technology capabilities in support of GBS to minimize duplications/conflicts, reduce IT costs, complexity and risks and ensure long term viability of solutions (fit for purpose, scalability, flexibility, resiliency, security)
Primary focus will be to proactively engage, shape, influence and govern technology direction for GBS.

• Ensure that conceptual architecture during demand intake is directionally correct
• Ensure alignment with enterprise standards
• Ensure solution adheres to architecture guiding principles and is scalable, resilient, and secure
• Identify and help resolve architecture hot spots

The scope is primarily focused on PepsiCo GBS Digital Factory initiatives.
Accountabilities:
Standards & Governance:

• Evangelize & increase awareness of global technology strategies and standards within stakeholder groups in scope
• Shepard all proposals and projects and ensure they leverage global standards and patterns
• Ensure appropriate governance process followed for any deviations and exceptions
• Act as SPOC for all architecture related topics, and engage / consult with appropriate global domain architects (D&A, Infra, Security, Integration, intelligent automation, etc)
• Attend relevant GBS staff meetings to maintain awareness of key functional priorities and proactively influence technology direction in line with our strategy
• Present new technology & non-standard solutions (exceptions to declared enterprise standards and usage guidelines) to EA Governance boards for approval

Project Engagement:

• Lead delivery of Consistent Solution Architecture (conceptual, logical and physical architecture) for key GBS Digital Factory use cases
• Understand GBS Digital Factory use case, scope, and detailed requirements
• Drive & ensure that conceptual architecture during demand intake is directionally correct, and in alignment with enterprise standards
• Drive Logical and Physical Architecture development, as a basis for detailed design in partnership with architecture SMEs
• Ensure architecture diagrams are in-line with standard template and following consistent solution architecture best practices
• Ensure solution adheres to architecture guiding principles and is scalable, resilient, and secure
• Identify and help resolve architecture hot spots
• Provide education, on-boarding and oversight to relevant teams and assigned resources to ensure delivery in line with target architecture.
• Provide guidance to GBS on process to on board business owned / business supported apps in service now and ensure these apps are on boarded in service now for complete visibility on application portfolio

Qualifications/Requirements

Years of experience:
Experience

• 10+ years of experience with solution design and development from a range of vendors as well as bespoke/custom development
• 10+ years of experience with solution architecture
• Strong experience in Enterprise Architect
• Solution design & development (broader understanding of the technologies like hyper automation, data analytics & modern web development)

Mandatory Technical Skills:

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or a related field of study
• Very good knowledge of key business application development platforms such as ServiceNow, PowerApps, UiPath, SAP Cloud Platform
• Exposure and understanding of existing digital and emerging technologies (Cloud, data and analytics, IOT, AI, APIs, etc.)
• Understanding of integration technologies and patterns (including APIs); data architecture and patterns
• Systems thinking, understanding of relationships between various systems
• Thorough understanding of the architecture guiding principles / modern architecture and leverage them to design forward-looking solutions.
• Ability to demonstrate a mindset for the Conceptual, Logical, Physical levels of architecture and apply them effectively.

Mandatory Non-Technical Skills:
Functional Skills

• Business acumen:
• Strong knowledge of business processes and capabilities for CPG across make, move and sell
• Ability to comprehend business startegies and needs and translate them to technology strategies
• Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, infrastructure and operations, and EA frameworks
• Very good knowledge of key business platforms (e.g. SAP, Salesforce, Service now)
• Exposure and understanding of existing digital and emerging technologies (Cloud, data and analytics, RPA, AI, low code/no code, etc )
• Understanding of integration technologies and patterns
• Understanding of data architecture and patterms
• Systems thinking , understanding of relationships between various systems
• Ability to demonstrate a mindset for the Conceptual, Logical, Physical levels of architecture and apply them effectively.
