Job Title - Associate Director - HR Analytics Product OwnerCareer Level - FAs the HR Analytics Product Owner, your role is crucial in driving the success of the analytics strategy and initiatives within HR, in collaboration with Global Business Services (GBS) and wider AstraZeneca teams. You are responsible for ensuring that the HR analytics products and services provided meet the needs of the business and its stakeholders. Working with HR to understand the business questions they are trying to answer and translating these into actionable and guided insights, with close colarboration with GBS to help deliver analytical products. The HR Analytics Product Owner will also work very closely with the HR Data Product Owner and ensure data dependencies for insights are raised and built into data lake pipelines. You will collaborate with other enterprise teams to ensure HR analytics are built within enterprise tools, ensuring there is consistency and alignment on how HR insights are used within and outside of HR. The scope of the role covers all HR processes, dashboards, analytics and systems.Typical AccountabilitiesHR Analytics Strategy:
Define and communicate a clear vision for the HR analytics products and services, aligning with the overall business goals and objectives.Requirements Gathering:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their analytics needs and translate them into actionable requirements ensuring there are clear analytical definitions. Lead on advanced analytical requirements and potential technical solutions.Roadmap Planning:
Based on business goals and objectives create and maintain a roadmap that outlines the strategic direction and priorities for the analytics products and services. Monitor progress against the roadmap and adjust priorities as needed.Backlog Management:
Prioritise and manage the product backlog, ensuring that it reflects the highest value items and is continuously updated based on changing business needs.Glossary of Metrics:Work with HR stakeholders to document HR Metric definitions / calculations. Ensure these definitions are being used across HR and the wider business.HR Dashboards:Define the strategy for HR dashboards (across systems), ensuring common definitions are being utilized and that there is consistent design.AI Insights Adoption:Define the strategy for AI adoption for HR aligning with Enterprise AI Governance and drive towards HR productivity and operational excellence.Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with data scientists, data engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of analytics projects, close collaboration with Global Business Services to deliver the HR Analytics strategyProduct Development:
Oversee the development and delivery of analytics solutions, ensuring that they meet the defined requirements and are of high quality. Ensure HR analytics are being consumed from optimal data sources.User Adoption and Engagement:
Drive user adoption of analytics products by conducting training sessions, providing support, and gathering feedback to continuously improve the user experience by working closely with the Digital Technology readiness lead.Performance Measurement:
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the impact of analytics products on the business, providing regular updates to stakeholders.Metadata Management and Access Governance:Collaborate with Enterprise Data Office to actively keep the business glossary and Data Product details in Collibra up to date. Also, work with HR Data Product owner and Enterprise Governance teams to potentially automate access provisioning and authorisation governance.Education, Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceEssentialData Science / Strong Analytical Skills: Deep understanding of analytics concepts and techniques, with the ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with data analysis tools, data visualization platforms, and statistical modeling techniques, preferably Power BICommunication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team of data professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.Business Acumen: Understanding of the business domain and industry trends, enabling effective decision-making and alignment of analytics initiatives with business goals.Problem-solving: Ability to identify and resolve complex analytical and technical challenges, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of analytics solutions.DesirableUnderstanding and experience of using HR technologyExperience of involvement in process design projectsExperience of Angular technologyHands-on in visualization tools to present any new capabilities or short KPI dashboard demo for Senior stakeholdersKey Relationships to reach solutionsInternal (to AZ or team)HR Product OwnerHR Data Management TeamHR Functional LeadsHR Business PartnersGlobal Business ServicesHRITWHY JOIN US?Were a network of high-reaching self-starters who contribute to something far bigger.
