Job Title: Associate Director, Clinical Trial Safety Career Level - E Introduction to Role:
Join us at AstraZeneca\'s Biopharmaceuticals R&D department as an Associate Director, Clinical Trial Safety. In this role, you will be part of the Trial Safety Review Center (TRISARC), a team dedicated to ensuring the accuracy and completeness of medical data in our clinical trial environment. Your responsibilities will include line management of TRISARC individuals and shared accountabilities for TRISARC service, resulting in high-quality medical data review. This role is an opportunity to work closely with Study Physicians and Clinical/Project Scientists, providing them with consolidated data supporting high-quality medical/safety evaluation. Accountabilities:
As an Associate Director, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties including resource management, staff review processes, recruitment, and ensuring adherence to corporate policies and guidelines. You will also be involved in strategic assessment and execution of TRISARC Strategy, collaboration with Study Physician and other study team members, and overseeing the process implementation and ongoing review of critical clinical/safety data. Your role will also involve mentoring junior staff and leading quality checks on study levels.
Essential Skills/Experience:

• Advanced university degree in a medical/life science field
• 10 years of experience working in clinical research, pharmacovigilance and/or safety and clinical data review methodology
• In-depth understanding of the clinical study and drug development process and GCP/ICH guidelines
• Proven project management capabilities
• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
• Demonstrating AZ Values and Behaviours, professionalism, diplomacy, mutual respect

Desirable skills

• Experience in cross-functional pharmaceutical development
• Line management experience
• Conceptual and strategic thinking
• Knowledge on AZ Procedural documents as they pertain to study delivery systems and processes
