The role will cover a range of activities, such as running data acquisitions, facilitating data sharing, maintaining data catalogues and dictionaries, and supporting colleagues through data access processes.The role will support aspects of data usage, processes, and initiatives for relevant business areas.Typical AccountabilitiesData SharingSupport the data governance team in internal data sharing requestsHandle requests for data sharing with third parties, supporting and ensuring processes completionFacilitate data sharing agreements and protocols with external partners and collaboratorsCollaborate and work on TPA (Third Party Agreement) for the data sharing requestsTrack requests and work closely with the Vendor for form submissionsSupport in documenting process SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure) and supervise expiration datesData acquisitionsDocument arguments for data acquisitions from external vendorsFacilitate the internal request approval processSupport data requestors through the process and act as first point of contact for requestsOrganise collaborator meetings and discussions as appropriate and keep all collaborators updated on request progressCollaborate with other internal teams, such as procurement or IT on progressing the data acquisition requestData catalogue maintenanceSupport the data governance team in creating and maintaining catalogue entries for acquired dataCollaborate with data vendors on compiling the required metadataSupport internal data users with understanding the data catalogues and finding the required informationData access request managementManage data access requests from internal and external collaborators, according to company and data vendor policyEnsure all required information related to each request is available and documentedSubmit required request information to data vendors and ensure requests are processed in a timely mannerKeep collaborators up to date on the progress of their requestData change controlEnsure all relevant collaborators have awareness of change requests relating to their applicationsOrganise change dependency management and facilitate issue resolution meetingsDocument changes and related approvalsInternal data customer support and trainingEducate and publicise processes related to data acquisition, data sharing, access requests and change controlAct as first line support for internal and external collaborators related to these processesEnsure all queries are responded to fast and in a helpful and supportive mannerDeliver training and guidance on process related platforms and toolsEducation, Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceEssentialDemonstrable experience of working in a data office, data governance or data management roleKnowledge of data protection principles and regulation (e.g. GDPR)Strong customer support experience with conducive and supportive attitudeGood change management skillsGood administrative and organisational skillsProficient in Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Experience of maintaining information and documentation using collaboration tools (e.g. SharePoint)Superb attention to detailFast and efficient learnerGood communication skillsDesirableKnowledge of user access and security principlesExperience of working in a complex, diverse global organisationKnowledge of ethical and regulatory aspects of the use of data within AI and analyticsExperience of producing and delivering trainingDemonstrable experience of running data related or technical first line supportConfident engaging and managing stakeholders at all levelsProficiency in using data governance and data management toolsSO, WHATS NEXT?Are you already envisioning yourself joining our team?
