The Data, Analytics & Transformation team is responsible for helping lead automation & transformation within the Controllership organization. This highly visible role will collaborate with cross-functional partners across Finance & Business Technology to develop and execute upon a transformative vision to drive process optimization through development of automated solutions.

Your key responsibilities
• Support Finance transformation, automation & data analytics efforts within Controllership organization


• Collaborate with cross-functional Finance stakeholders to lead the ideation, development and implementation of automation solutions, leveraging Microsoft Power Platform
• Drive transformation across Finance Operations (e.g. Billing, Revenue, Legal Entity Controllers, etc.) processes to improve clarity, efficiency and scale for growth


• Act as champion of change for Data Analytics & Business Intelligence within Finance by promoting maturation of Finance Automation Center of Excellence


• Collaborate with Business Technology to help manage Finance transformation project intake and prioritization process


• Partner closely with our Controls team to ensure sustainability and change management of automated solutions


• Understand end-to-end processes and dependencies between systems of record to drive process optimization


• Drive, design & deliver MSCI's next generation of automation & business intelligence tools




Your skills and experience that will help you excel
• Bachelor's degree required with 3-5 years relevant experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics or Computer Science
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform, specifically PowerBI & Power Automate
• Intermediate data modeling knowledge and familiarity with table joins required (i.e. SQL, DAX, etc.)
• Strategic, analytical mindset that has experience leveraging large financial datasets to help solve complex, problems and drive analytical insights
• Experience in end-to-end automation development cycle including ideation, business requirement documentation, solution development & QA/UAT testing


• Highly motivated individual who can manage multiple tasks in a demanding and dynamic, global hybrid work environment
• Proven track record of effectively building relationships and collaborating with cross-functional business partners to accomplish critical goals


• Good to have: Experience with process mapping & financial controls
