DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities
• Independently handle legal and regulatory issues in multiple businesses that are customer-focused, including the complexity of plant and area/zonal offices spread across India.
• Address a mixture of routine and complex legal questions and projects.
• Assist more experienced attorneys in complex legal questions and projects with broad-reaching implications for the organization when necessary.
• Review standard documents and contracts, and prepare filings.
• Build professional experience and learn the practical aspects of applied law and business functions.
• Demonstrate proficiency in a specific area of law, specialty, function, or geographic region.
• Provide support and contribute to the overall objectives and goals of the organization.
• Supervise and mentor one or more paralegals or administrative assistants.
• Lead projects for the legal function.
• Exposure to restructuring and M&A transactions is an added advantage.
• Ability to lead teams in a matrix environment is essential.
Skills and Experience
• Significant relevant experience required.
• Experience in independently handling legal and regulatory issues in multiple businesses that are customer-focused, including the complexity of plant and area/zonal offices spread across India.
• Knowledge of restructuring and M&A transactions is an added advantage.
• Proven ability to lead teams in a matrix environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools is preferred.

Qualifications
• Degree in law.
• License to practice law in home jurisdiction.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
• Prior experience as a Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent in a relevant discipline area with a demonstrated track record of technical problem-solving and quality decision-making.
• Significant experience in managing legal and regulatory issues across multiple businesses.
• Familiarity with restructuring and M&A transactions is advantageous.
