Associate Relationship Manager As the Associate Relationship Manager will assist the Global Relationship Managers in retaining and growing CMB customer relationships, adhering to the Group values, business strategy, operational policies, regulatory requirements and risk management practices. The ARM will also take responsibility for dealing with all aspects of New to Bank credit applications and global onboarding, internal and external relationship reviews, working on ad hoc projects including (but not limited to): sales pitches, BDM/product co-ordination, prospect research and calling, sector analysis, client portfolio reporting and others as required. Here\'s what you can expect: The Associate Relationship Manager is also expected to be an integral part of the corporate banking team enabling the team to deliver the optimum contribution towards the CMB Annual Operating Plan (AOP), improve client engagement, maximize operational efficiency and allow for the maximum amount of client engagement. The ARM will be expected to prepare concise call reports, research and analyze client, industry and competitor financial and macro-economic data, conduct supplier / buyer analysis and be an active participant in client due-diligence calls. In addition, the role holder will be expected to represent the bank at client meetings, introduce product partners, coordinate the application process, and work closely with internal stakeholders on credit or product onboarding process, systems updating KYC and documentation. Your main responsibilities will include: Prepare quality, creditworthy new business and review proposals within agreed deadlines for submission to the appropriate approval authorities and work with internal stakeholders and RM for closure on the submitted proposals. Acting as the primary point of contact for key clients and internal colleagues both locally and internationally across a wide range of product and client relationship matters Establishing strong and close working relationships with key individuals in clients\' management team Working collaboratively with other global businesses, product and service partners to identify opportunities to connect customers and strengthen the relationship Deepen client relationships and develop effective strategies to improve income generation, anticipate customer needs and provide a superior quality service to position HSBC as the market leader in this segment Negotiate and structure credit facilities and documentation under the constraints of credit/lending policies and market standards, in meeting clients\' needs as a result of thorough understanding of their businesses, financing requirements and market conditions Maintaining a proactive calling programme to service clients, ensuring senior management and key stakeholders for key corporate clients are contacted regularly Delivering a high quality service by owning customer engagement, striving for excellence in all interactions, and always acting according to the highest professional standards Co-ordinate with Internal Teams for ensuring account opening and KYC remediation\'s are completed on time. Ensure timely compliance with all FCC requirements for the portfolio. Ensure implementation of all audit and regulatory recommendations and constant monitoring/ review of the assigned portfolio including supporting RMs with managing RMTs. Collation of various MIS as per requirement from time to time. Identify and introduce credit, service and operational improvements to improve the overall client experience Requirements To be successful in this role you will require: Solid experience dealing with corporate/institutional clients across the full spectrum of corporate banking products. The ability to build strong and lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Strong sales and customer service orientation, with the ability to work independently and autonomously under pressure. A keen interest in the market and specific client developments in order to take a pro-active role across broad industry sectors. Ability to balance and address conflicting priorities amongst Commercial Banking clients and internal business requirements. Able to manage the role\'s workflow through strong organisational skills and time management. Understanding of compliance obligations, risk management and credit mitigants, preferably gained through experience in front line and risk roles. Sound communication, interpersonal and analytical skills. . Ability to work on fast turnarounds, tight deadlines & handle competing time bound priorities A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
