Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and support to product, engineering, and other departments during the product release process in various aspects to ensure compliance and legal reviews have been completed prior to a product launch
• Draft EULA, terms of use/service descriptions, and other similar customer-facing legal documents
• Draft and negotiate license and service agreements, intellectual property and other technology transaction agreements
• Identify business and legal risks and use creative problem-solving approaches to balance legal and business objectives
• Develop trusted and collaborative relationships with business partners in multiple cross functional groups to stay informed on key product developments and timely provide legal input on strategic initiatives
• Assist in evaluation and improvements of related business processes, including updating legal templates
• Collaborate with other legal teams (including trade compliance, patents/IP, privacy, etc) to gather input and provide legal guidance to clients
• Opportunities to work on projects with the Go-To-Market and Sales Legal teams

Minimum Required Skills include:

• Bachelor of Laws degree from an accredited law school
• At least 4 years of relevant experience either at a top-tier law firm or at a technology company
• State bar membership
• Experience interpreting, drafting and negotiating license and service agreements, intellectual property and other technology transactions, experience in SaaS and cloud technology agreements preferred
• Experience counseling and advising product and engineering teams during the product launch process, experience in SaaS and other cloud technologies preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong legal analysis skills with ability to provide recommendations that appropriately balance legal and business objectives
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a dynamic environment, simultaneously handling numerous projects (and with a good sense of humor)
• Ability to prioritize and manage time and client expectations
• Someone who is collaborative, flexible, team-oriented, confident, pro-active, detail-oriented, and interested to learn and take on new challenges
• Ability to exercise good judgment in raising issues when collaborating with others
