Responsibilities:
• Support and advise on Labour law related issues and advise on matters pertaining to offer letter/contract of employment/retainership letters, personal data collection notices and consent forms for new joiners, service rules and Legal/Compliance/HR policies, investigation in cases of breach by employee of internal HR/Legal & Compliance policies.
• Advise on the actions to be taken to ensure HR compliance.
• Advise management and businesses on the following aspects: Issues and compliance with labour legislations such as Karnataka Shops & Establishments Acts, Industrial Disputes Act, SO. Removal of personnel, unauthorised absence of employee(s), vendor resource breaches, change in team structure, CSR initiatives, Short Term Assignments, Dual employment, withholding tax requirements and fixed term contracts; Compensation and ESOPs, non-compete and non-solicitation advisory & documentation.
• Ensure company compliance with recent labour law rules and regulations.
• Stay updated with new rules and regulations and effectively enforce compliance.
• Contract Management- Ability to draft, review and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including vendor agreements, lease agreements and NDA's.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 8 years of experience in as a practising attorney with in-house or industry specific legal experience strongly preferred.
• Be an initiative taker who can work independently and collaborate as part of a team.
• Be creative, practical, collaborative and solution oriented.
