What you'll do:


We are seeking a skilled Azure SQL DBA with 1-3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in managing Azure SQL environments, including Virtual Machines, Managed Instances, and on-premises to-cloud migrations. The role involves managing high-availability configurations, ensuring robust backup and recovery strategies, and implementing automation to optimize database operations. A solid understanding of ITIL processes and experience with database health checks and audits are essential.


• Manage and maintain Azure SQL databases, Virtual Machines (IaaS) , and Managed Instances (PaaS).
• Perform database migrations, upgrades, and installations, including post-build activities.
• Configure and monitor high-availability solutions like Replication and Always-On Availability Groups.
• Expertise in managing logins, roles, and permissions.
• Implement and maintain maintenance plans for routine database operations.
• Configure and manage backup solutions using Azure Backup Vault Service and Backup Centre.
• Execute backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Develop and implement automation scripts for routine database tasks and maintenance.
• Implement encryption and decryption techniques to secure sensitive data.
• Apply data masking techniques to protect data privacy and meet compliance requirements.
• Conduct database audits and health checks to maintain compliance and ensure performance.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Adhere to ITIL processes for incident management, change management, and problem management.
• 24x7 operational team , ensuring seamless database operations and quick issue resolution working in rotational shifts.






What to Have for this position.


Must have Skills.


• Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure VMs and Managed Instances.
• Hands-on experience with Replication, Always-On Availability Groups, and high-availability solutions.
• Proficiency in Azure Backup Vault Service, Azure Backup Centre, and disaster recovery planning.
• Expertise in migrations, upgrades, installations, and post-build activities.
• Knowledge of database maintenance plans.
• Familiarity with PowerShell or similar scripting languages for database automation.
• Experience in database auditing, health checks, and ensuring compliance with standards.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management.
• Willingness to learn and work on new technologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
