Job Description

Reporting to: Manager of Candidate Admissions, North & West India

Candidate Admissions is the final and critical phase of the Recruitment/Selection process. The Associate will be responsible for supporting candidates through their assessment centre and post-offer stages of their journey into Teach For India. The intention will be to ensure that they are smoothly onboarded and join the program successfully. It involves working deeply with them towards the life-changing decision of joining this movement. Note: This role will be an on-ground role that will involve travel, including in-person time with relevant stakeholders, meetings with high potential candidates, and conducting events at different venues.


#### Team Overview

The Recruitment team advocates to get the greatest leaders into our classrooms to ensure Teach For India's multiplied impact on the Indian education system. The team has the responsibility to influence the future lifepaths of tens of thousands of young people to make the bold choice of doing something for the India that they always dreamed of. As an external-facing team, we build the brand, visibility and aspiration of Teach For India through engagement with the top institutions of the country, media partnerships, branding and promotion campaigns. The team creates strong champions for the movement by identifying, investing and leveraging influencers, and nurturing partnerships with college and corporate stakeholders. The team provides avenues for prospective applicants to meet with Fellows, Alumni, Staff and Students. Internally, the team works alongside several teams to ensure that the organisation acts as one team in its mission to find our movement of leaders who will eliminate educational inequity and ensure that all children attain an excellent vision.


#### Responsibilities

• Candidate Management during the Assessment Centre (AC) stage
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates who receive an invitation to the Assessment Centre stage.
+ Build strong one-on-one relationships with each of them, support them in preparing for the Assessment Centre, and thought partner to prevent any drop-offs from the Selection funnel.
+ Conduct events such as Assessment Centre support clinics and Classroom visits to connect them with and invest them in vision and mission of Teach For India, and ensure they're taking all steps needed to be ready for their AC.
+ Set clear and authentic expectations about their Fellowship experience by exposing them to classrooms & communities, Fellows, Alumni and the organisation.
• Plan and execute Matriculation activities
+ Create compelling strategies to engage selected candidates and bring them into Teach For India's institute training. This would include planning and executing inspiring virtual and in-person events that help incoming Fellows deeply understand and internalise their roles as Fellows.
+ Execute the placements strategy to ensure that all 8 Teach For India regions receive an adequate number of Fellows based on their regional needs.
+ Serve as a direct point-of-contact for specific sets of candidates. Stay connected with them, problem-solve their concerns, connect them with the rest of the network.
• Operational backbone
+ Execute strong systems and processes for maintaining consistent operations.
+ Monitor & evaluate mechanisms to keep track of progress of candidates.
+ Use salesforce effectively for documentation as per team guideline.
+ Provide timely updates to various members within the region and overall Recruitment team on the progress of the placement on an ongoing basis.
+ Create relevant candidate facing resources using platforms such as Canva.
+ Collaborate with internal verticals such as Training, HR, Admin, Finance etc. for a smooth operations during the Onboarding process.
+ Leverage relevant Fellows, Alumni and Staff members for events and engagements.

#### Minimum Qualifications, Experiences and Expectations

• 2+ years of professional experience.
• A Bachelor's or a Master's Degree in any field.
• A deep belief in Teach For India's vision, mission, and core values.
• In-depth knowledge of the Teach for India Fellowship Program.

• Exemplary action planning capabilities.
• Effective interpersonal skills including listening, persuasion and relationship building.
• Stellar communication, including spoken and written.
