The Business analyst role forms part of Product Delivery function responsible for creation, upgrade and maintenance of credit applications built on OCP (Online Credit Platform) / WCP (Wholesale Credit Platform). The Business Analyst will form part of a core squad working on the objectives of the OCP and WCP Product Delivery teams. The team works hand in hand with software engineers and data scientists, using Agile methods of design and delivery, with a focus on continuous user feedback. The Business Analyst will be required to document user stories with a focus on credit analysis, using external and internal data sources to derive insights. The Business Analyst will also work with the support team in ensuring the platforms are updated for any bug fixes and regulatory changes. The role requires working with multiple stakeholders, including R&A, Credit, technology, and external data vendors to deliver high value features. The Business Analyst will be required to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment, adapting quickly to challenges and opportunities as they arise. Accountabilities include:
What will your day look like?
Ensure that assigned business analysis activities are conducted within agreed cost parameters; ensure that the outputs and benefits are clear and that identified products provide efficiencies in business.
Accurate and display an understanding of the financial implications to the project or program and manage the requirements throughout the life of the project.
Assist with activities in implementing the change and embedding BAU transition
Work efficiently with the customer (users) to elicit business requirements that are fit for purpose, recommending appropriate stakeholders to be involved with elicitation activities.
Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and communicate requirements clearly and concisely.
Validate requirements with the customer (R&A and Credit users) and provide input to ensure that proposed solutions meet customer expectations.
Adhere to established ANZ policy and procedures and display an understanding of technology delivery and program practices and governance.
Display knowledge of business analysis processes, demonstrate ability to document and communicate requirements effectively and provide input for the improvement of business analysis processes and performance.
Participate in the continuous improvement of solutions and governance processes.
Display a positive attitude, operates with a collaborative approach and actively support the HO Rules & Alerts in successful delivery of features on the application.
Build relationships with the users of the Alerts & Signals application, regularly seeking feedback and communicating proposed changes.
Work with Business Analysis peers to improve, develop and promote the Business Analysis profession.
Support the analysis of application and program risks and issues, adhere to change control processes and requirements traceability throughout the life of the project or program.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following however not all the skills are mandatory.
Domain knowledge of Institutional / Corporate wholesale credit business
Experience in credit analysis domain with clear understanding of end-to-end credit life cycle.
Business analysis experience and/or related project delivery experience
Detailed knowledge of business analysis tasks, experience in elicitation techniques and competent in requirements gathering skills
Can appreciate difficult problems and work autonomously on complex tasks, work collaboratively as part of a team and clearly represent consolidated findings.
Strong excel and financial statement analysis experience - highly desired.
Experience working with large-scale data and deriving insights - highly desired.
Data/programming skills are not required, however advantageous to have.
Ability to work independently with senior stakeholders.
Experience in Digital applications
Experience working in an agile delivery environment desired.
Self-starter with ability to navigate learning curve quickly and independently.
