About the Department
Global Finance GBS Bangalore was established in 2007, is currently responsible for supporting Accounting, Finance & Procurement, Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A) for Headquarters, region Europe, North America, International Operations (IO) & GBS Bangalore. The main purpose of our existence is to provide superior service to our stakeholders consistently and add value to the processes in terms of standardization and efficiency.


The Position
The overall goal for the position as Associate Analyst is to fulfil the targets set jointly by Corporate Tax, Denmark and North America Tax Group, Princeton, USA. This involves tasks within Tax compliance, Transfer Pricing, indirect taxes and related to the Swiss principals structure. You will be expected to act as a sparring partner for the global tax organisation with focus on the Corporate Tax in Denmark and North America tax group in Princeton, USA as well as the Swiss principals. The role of sparring partner will be to raise the knowledge level about accounting processes within the existing team and improvement of the current compliance processes.


As an Associate Analyst for Corporate Tax in Finance GBS, you will participate in the above mentioned tasks and processes in Novo Nordisk with a close link to Corporate Tax based at headquarters in Denmark and the North America tax group, located in Princeton, USA.

  • Indirect tax compliance processes: Preparing tax calculations and filings for U.K. and Europe affiliates.
  • Direct tax compliance processes: Preparing tax returns for - EMEA, LATAM and APAC region.
  • Files federal, state, and local tax documents by preparing tax returns, state returns, extensions and quarterly and annual payments.
  • Completing regular (quarterly and annual) tax reports & Recommend tax reconciliations that align with business goals.
  • Effectively use and manage the tax compliance software and internally developed systems and processes



Qualifications
  • Bachelor or Masters in finance or accounting from an international recognised institute.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • 5+ years of experience in an accounting/economy/business analysis function from a larger organisation.
  • Solid knowledge about accounting, reviewing, reconciliation, presentation and interpretation.
  • Basic knowledge of tax.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office .
  • Knowledge of SAP \xe2\x80\x93 Finance module (FI) is an advantage.
  • ERP working knowledge.
  • Strong analytical skills .
  • Fast learner i.e. able to learn the basic accounting flow in the different systems used and transform data into usable information.
  • Thorough, detailed and responsible.
  • Collaboration across department and different geographies.
  • Team worker and service minded.
  • Good IT skills.
