About the Department Finance GBS in the Global Business Services (GBS) Bangalore was established in 2007 and is responsible for supporting Accounting, Finance & Procurement, Financial Planning & Analytics for various parts of the Novo Nordisk organization worldwide. You will be part of the Sourcing & Analytics team which is part of the GF Source-to-Contract department in GBS Bangalore. This team is responsible for delivering and supporting global sourcing and strategic sourcing managers with e.g. market research & analyses, supplier management, etc. Besides being part of the GBS Bangalore Sourcing & Analytics team, you will be part of the US Sourcing Hub. The US Sourcing Hub is the regional sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk\'s Product Supply division and is responsible for the strategic sourcing activities pertaining to raw materials, items, products, and services used by the Supply Chain for the US production sites . The Position As a Associate Analyst -Sourcing the key responsibilities: You will be working closely with the Strategic Sourcing Managers in the Sourcing Hub. Together with them you will be involved in various types of projects and tasks related to sourcing, namely, supply market research, Tender analysis, Spend analysis etc. Key responsibilities include building cost models for components, raw materials, semi-finished items and production services, identification of sources of supply, vendor assessments, RFQ management. Qualifications We expect you to hold a Bachelor or master\'s degree from an accredited institution an MBA is a plus. Major in Business, Economics, Engineering (Chemical), Mathematics, Statistics, life sciences (Chemistry) or Supply Chain Management is preferred. Relevant experience may be substituted for the degree where appropriate. Relevant experience within the pharmaceutical industry, especially pharma manufacturing & direct commodity sourcing and procurement, would be a plus. We expect you to have relevant work experience of more than 4 years in the field of Supply market intelligence & Strategic Sourcing. We also expect you to be proficient with strategic sourcing fundamentals, category management tools and their application, supply landscape analysis, identifying negotiation leverage for different sourcing situation. You should also be an experienced user of Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel & PowerPoint. We also expect you to be proficient in one of the Data visualization tools, such as, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik sense. Furthermore, you should be experienced in applying financial analysis tools such as Factiva, Bloomberg, BVD or similar. You should have a strategic mind-set and an ability to quickly understand different business models and industry dynamics. You should be strong in analytical skills, have a solid understanding of numbers, and have an ambition of creating maximum value in close collaboration with your team. As a person, you should be confident when navigating in big organizations. You must be able to impact decision-making through clear recommendations, always founded on solid data and analysis.
