Job Description


Take charge of the HR compliance department of a reputable energy company, ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting a positive work environment.Regulatory Compliance Management

  • Oversee and manage compliance with labour laws, including the Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, Factories Act, BOCW Act, PF, ESI, and other HR Acts as applicable.
  • Ensure the organization\'s policies, procedures, and practices comply with all applicable statutory requirements and government regulations.
  • Act as the primary liaison with government authorities for labour law compliance and related statutory matters.
Policy and Process Development
  • Develop and implement compliance policies, SOPs, and manuals to ensure the organization adheres to labour and employment laws.
  • Conduct regular reviews of policies and processes, staying updated with any amendments in applicable labour laws and regulations.
Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain up-to-date records of compliance activities
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of statutory returns and filings with statutory bodies as applicable.
  • Prepare and present compliance reports to the management, highlighting key compliance activities, audit findings, and corrective actions.
Audit Management
  • Identify compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring that compliance activities align with the company\'s business goals.
  • Lead internal compliance audits to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Manage statutory audits, liaising with auditors, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure successful audit outcomes.
  • Prepare, review, and submit audit reports, ensuring corrective actions are followed up and implemented.
Training and Awareness
  • Develop and conduct training programs for employees, especially the HR and operations teams, on labour law compliance and statutory obligations.
  • Regularly update the leadership team on changes in the legal landscape and any compliance-related issues.

  • MBA in HR / MSW
