DescriptionASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT - US TAXATION
PUNE/BANGALORE/KOLKATA/HYDERABAD/MUMBAI Key duties and responsibilities: The position would be to join a team providing US Tax Reporting Services for Funds, Fund Managers and Portfolio Companies. Duties would include:
Preparation of Book-Keeping of Partnership accounting and allocations for Master funds and US Feeder structures
Advising clients and ensuring compliance with Book-Tax Analyses such as:
- Wash Sales
- QDI/DRD
- Buy to Cover
- Section 1256
- Dividend accruals
- NPC MTM
- Market discount
- US/Foreign income
- Fixed Income adjustments (amortization/accretion)
- Straddles
- Investment into PFICs, PTPs, Underlying Operating Companies and Funds
Preparation and Review of Quarterly/ Annual Tax Provision.
Preparation and Review of Fund of fund/Private equity schedule K-1 Pickup template
Preparation and Review of PFIC and Schedule K-1 workbook including
Taxable Income Summary
Book/tax analyses
WAC % calculation
Underlying PFIC analyses
PFIC Annual Information Statement and cover letter preparation
Tax Allocations (aggregate, FoF, Private Equity)
PDF conversion
Preparation & Review and filing of respective forms
Resolve queries raised by Onshore, Client, Auditor and Director.
New hiring, process training to new staff, people issue, performance management, KPI etc.
Prepare MIS report, develop and design a process manual.
Monitor day-to-day management of team members and actively manage and maintain successful long- term relationships of assigned clients.
Responsible for quality management, key-risk mitigation and resiliency, and monitoring effective utilization of resources.
Qualification and Experience
Qualification- CA, CPA, ACCA, MBA (Finance), CFA, or any course specialized in Accounting/Finance.
Experience of 8 -12 years in Accounting, US Taxation and Reporting.
Skills Required
Strong interpersonal and time management skills
Adaptability
Highly proficient in MS Excel and MS Word
Strong accounting knowledge
Strong knowledge in capital market and derivatives
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Leadership skills
