We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President


Principal responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines that can extract, transform, and load data from cloud and on-premises data sources using Sql, cloud big data technologies and Azure technologies for business/operational use cases.
• Develop and maintains data pipelines, including solutions for data collection, management, metadata, and usage.
• Identifies, designs, and implements internal process improvements, automating manual processes, re-design infrastructure for greater scalability, monitor, capture and analyze pipeline metadata and usage.
• Support the Data Engineering team in executing and evolving the future state platform strategy.
• Partners with business stakeholders to understand businesses and technical requirements, plan and execute projects, and communicate status, risks, and issues.
• Work closely with data scientists and analytics team to optimize and reengineer model code to be modular, efficient, and scalable, and deploy newly build data models to production.
• Working within wider team to deliver and support on applications (say web apps/power apps)
• Provide advice, coaching and quality assurance to wider data engineering team.
• Liaise with tech team to ensure that devops processes fit for process and operate to SLAs.
• Produces relevant documentation and supporting artefacts.
Requirements
• Advanced data infrastructure, design and ETL skills using Microsoft Azure
• Hands-on experience with Azure data bricks, synapse, ADF, Azure ML
• Excellent critical and analytical thinking and excellent customer service skills
• Excellent organizational and presentation skills must be able to communicate ideas to management & teams.
• Ability to draw compelling insights from data analysis.
• Ability to manage and/or collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographies through influence.
• Excellent written communication and presentation skills to a wide range of internal and external audiences, including executive level, with ability to summarise technical concepts to a non-technical or generalist audience.
• Ability to navigate within a changing, complex, culturally rich, and geographically dispersed environment.
• Sound understanding of database systems, data analytical and data model creation skills.
