How will you contribute to the team Essential requirements - Appropriate academic and professional qualifications (Bachelor\'s Degree with Master\'s degree in transport planning / economics), Working experience (2+ years) in Transport Planning softwares like VISUM, SATURN, DIADEM, EMME, VISSIM, LINSIG, JUNCTIONS9, Paramics, SYNCHRO, SIDRA, TUBA, COBA-LT and AMAT assessment. Experience and knowledge of Strategic Modelling, Operational Modelling, transport / economic appraisal techniques and guidance including economic cost-benefit analysis. Knowledge of the technical transport planning environment. Strong numerate and analytical abilities, including high degree of competence in MS Excel. Ability to work in a team as part of a wider project. Some understanding of how appraisal and business case requirements should match client needs and support scheme development. Good written communication skills. Be able to work with limited supervision. Desirable requirements- Be highly self-motivated and ambitious. Be able to adapt to different cultures and working environments to build rapport with customers. Be able to build excellent working relationships with colleagues and clients. Some experience in the application of financial and commercial appraisal techniques. Knowledge and experience of UK appraisal and business case guidance and approaches. Experience in the use of analytical and research tools such as GIS and the use of databases. An appreciation of the transport industry and related policy context.
