We are looking for professionals to offer technical assistance to the Entry into Class team in the classification process of new and existing ships, as well as other marine/offshore assets. This role involves adhering to the Rules and Regulations of Lloyd\'s Register and utilizing bespoke IT applications and the technical database to perform the necessary tasks.

The role
  • Provide technical support to the Entry into Class team for the classification process of new and existing ships and other marine/offshore assets, ensuring compliance with Lloyd\'s Register Rules and Regulations, utilizing bespoke IT applications, and the technical database.
  • Populate the master record database to maintain a "single source of truth" for all Marine and Offshore assets entering LR class.
  • Process marine technical information to maintain data models for Marine and Offshore assets up to specified completion levels and within prescribed timeframes.
  • Conduct periodic data analyses and generate standardized status reports to measure key performance indicators (KPIs) for class entry.
  • Stay updated on the latest data analysis tools, techniques, and best practices.
  • Conduct all activities in accordance with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Undertake necessary administrative tasks following current processes and procedures.
  • Work in adherence to professional codes of conduct and the LR Code of Ethics in IMS01.
What you bring
  • A degree or equivalent from a recognized tertiary organization by LR in a relevant field, such as Data Science and Statistics. Alternatively, qualifications from a marine or nautical institution along with relevant sea-going experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of various ship types, hull and machinery configurations, systems, and equipment. Familiarity with marine terminology and the nomenclature of marine and offshore asset types.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a business or corporate environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of working with large datasets and complex data structures.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing accurate and reliable analysis.
  • Proficiency in the English language at a level suitable for the work.

Assistant Business Support Specialist - FE

We are looking for professionals to offer support to the TOC/First Entry(FE) team in the classification process of both new and existing ships. This support involves utilizing specialized IT applications and the technical database to carry out the necessary tasks.

The role
  • Identify areas for improvement in EIC (Entry into Class) processes and procedures and propose suitable enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Coordinators and managers to implement new administrative processes and procedures within the team.
  • Ensure that all documentation, data, and information relevant to the individual\'s role are carefully planned, evaluated, and processed in accordance with local business requirements and agreed-upon deadlines.
  • Review and analyze data to generate management information and statistics, including the identification and reporting of process failures, to support the overall effectiveness of processes.
  • Conduct all activities in compliance with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Undertake necessary administrative tasks following current processes and procedures.
What you bring
  • A higher education qualification from a tertiary organization recognized by LR in a relevant field, such as business administration.
  • Proficiency and experience in using office systems and workflow management tools.
  • Previous experience in data analysis and process measurement.
  • Strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with colleagues.
