The role
  • Accurately inputting details of assets and hull and machinery defects into the Asset Data Tool (ADT).
  • Extracting, cleaning, and transforming large and complex datasets from various sources.
  • Developing and implementing data models, algorithms, and statistical techniques to uncover valuable insights and trends.
  • Continuously monitoring and evaluating data quality to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Staying up to date with the latest data analysis tools, techniques, and best practices.
  • Conducting activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Undertaking administration tasks as required in accordance with current processes and procedures.
  • Working in accordance with professional codes of conduct and the LR Code of Ethics in IMS01.
What you bring
  • A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organization recognized by LR in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science and Statistics). Alternatively, qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and relevant sea-going experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of the full range of ship types, hull and machinery configuration, systems, and equipment. Proficiency in marine terminology and the nomenclature of marine and offshore asset types.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a business or corporate environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large datasets and complex data structures.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing accurate and reliable analysis.
  • Proficiency in the English language commensurate with the work.
