AXA XL is seeking an experienced Platform Steward with a background in data platform management, user support, and operations. This role focuses on the continuous development and smooth operation of our Data Science Platform, built on Microsoft Azure cloud, using Databricks and Posit (R Studio). The Platform Steward will ensure customer success by taking ownership of customer issues and delivering prompt, effective solutions. The successful candidate will exhibit strict adherence to corporate standards for secure platform design and data access and show a commitment to best practices in administration. Triage and lead and own end-to-end resolution of technical and product issues that analytical and engineering users face, exercising outstanding communication skills, transparency, and in-depth understanding of user journeys such as model building and software development cycle. Drive the continuous development and enhancement of our Data Science Platform, leveraging Azure cloud, and individual services such as Databricks and Posit Workbench. . Adhere to corporate standards for secure platform design and data access, with a robust emphasis on the security and privacy of data and role-based access control mechanisms (RBAC). . Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, cloud infrastructure, and stakeholders, to ensure platform capabilities align with business needs. . Become a recognized expert in Databricks Administration and platform offering, leading research on new platform features and bringing them to the user population. . Successful Stewards will have the opportunity to develop into Product Management for Cloud technologies, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, and DevOps areas. In this role, you will report to the Division Lead, Data Science Platforms. We\'re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Required Skills and Abilities: . Hands-on technologist (e.g., Product Owner, Lead Admin, or similar) with experience in user support, technical design, and development of modern data science infrastructure and tooling. . Prior experience of Cloud admin. Linux and/or Database Administration. Certificates are a Plus. . Relentless focus on improving the product in a user-centric manner, willingness to understand in-depth user problems and peculiarities of workflow in diverse user segments. . Integrity and tenacity to own user problem resolution end to end. Desired Skills and Abilities: . Experienced in collaborating with data engineers, data scientists, and MLOps engineers to proactively improve platform offerings. . Prior experience in Databricks administration, certificates are a Plus. . Experience as a Technical Product Owner / Platform / Infrastructure Engineer.
