Job Summary :
The Assistant Manager - Sales is responsible for supporting the sales team in achieving business targets and ensuring smooth operations of the sales department. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to boost sales, improve customer satisfaction, and maintain client relationships. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Sales Manager and cross-functional teams to optimize sales performance, conduct market research, and enhance revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Sales Target Achievement :
- Support in achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned region or product line.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and assist in developing strategies to meet or exceed goals.
- Participate in planning and executing sales initiatives and campaigns.
2. Customer Relationship Management :
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
- Address customer queries and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Conduct regular follow-ups to strengthen client relationships and gain repeat business.
3. Market Research & Analysis :
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Provide feedback on product positioning and market strategy to the Sales Manager.
- Develop reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback for management review.
4. Team Coordination & Development :
- Provide guidance and training to junior sales team members, enhancing their skills and product knowledge.
- Facilitate communication between the sales team and other departments (e.g., Marketing, Operations).
- Assist in planning and organizing sales training programs and team-building activities.
5. Sales Operations & Reporting :
- Ensure that all sales operations run smoothly, including order processing, invoicing, and inventory management.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for management.
- Update and maintain CRM systems to track client information and sales progress.
6. Compliance & Administrative Tasks :
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and sales protocols.
- Manage administrative tasks like preparing sales contracts, coordinating with finance, and updating sales records.
