What this job involves:

Keeping a tab on the essential details

Achieving a balance between seeing the big picture and attending to details is top of your mind. To deliver high-quality property management services, you\xe2\x80\x99ll ensure your team has relevant and up-to-date skills. To keep finances on track, you\xe2\x80\x99ll monitor and create budget plans and management reports based on business objectives. Part of your responsibilities is also being our liaison officer who takes charge of our major programmes on-site and coordinates with the relevant parties.

Driving excellent daily operations

As the person in charge, you\xe2\x80\x99ll manage the site\xe2\x80\x99s daily technical activities and ensure that all essential equipment operational processes are followed. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also see to it that both the property\xe2\x80\x99s interior and exterior are well-maintained. You\xe2\x80\x99ll do this by performing regular site inspections and conducting fire and other evacuations as scheduled in accordance with the health and safety requirements.
  • Coordinates the maintenance of facilities, buildings, and equipment, as appropriate, to ensure optimum functionality; identifies, assesses, negotiates as necessary, and resolves building maintenance and usage problems.
  • Assist in the upkeep and preventative maintenance of assigned facilities; assist in coordinating custodial and maintenance functions.
  • Assist in maintaining building security, report security problems to appropriate authority.
  • Plan and implement training programs for department staff and clients.
  • Must do the snagging, prepare snag reports, coordinates with the project for de-snag, conduct handing taking over of the systems, building services, common areas
  • Supervises maintenance staff including hiring, training, personnel development.
  • Supervise & assists in maintenance/engineering issues as required
  • Develops/maintains effective Asset specific maintenance and safety procedure manuals and enforces compliance
  • Coordinates maintenance efforts with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel and engineers
  • Administers all equipment and construction warranties with respect to defect liability period.
  • Analyse, develop, and design solutions to reporting requests.
  • Design and implement reports to measure service performance metrics.
  • Evaluate and maintain help desk software; oversee preparation and distribution of system updates.
  • Monitor budget; review and approve purchase orders
  • Oversees activities of contractors, vendor personnel, and suppliers; Monitors contracts for compliance and controls costs; monitors general expenditures of unit; performs quality control inspections to ensure adherence to contract specifications and standards
  • Serves as liaison between facility manager and vendor staff; recommends correction of deficiencies; coordinates re-modelling activities, as appropriate to the position.
  • Schedules space usage controls key issuance and building security; prepares calendars and maintains records.
  • Oversees events held at facility; interacts with caterers, and/or auxiliary staff as appropriate to the specific event.
  • Prepares scheduled and periodic reports of facility usage, maintenance, and condition.
  • Maintains and orders equipment and supplies for facility operations.

A seasoned expert

Do you have a diploma or a degree in estate management, building services, engineering or similar courses? Do you have at least five years of experience and technical expertise in facilities management? If you said yes to all these, then you are what we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
  • Good organizational/time management skills.

  • Ability to anticipate and resolve problems.
  • Must be proficient in computer application programs
  • Experience of 5 years in the relevant field
  • A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering
