The Institute of Health Sciences (IHS) is seeking a qualified Assistant Professor in Physiotherapy to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will contribute to the academic and clinical excellence of our physiotherapy program, teaching undergraduate students, conducting research, and providing patient care.
Key Responsibilities
• Teaching: Develop and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and clinical skills training to undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy students.
• Research: Conduct research projects, publish research papers, and contribute to the development of the physiotherapy program.
• Clinical Practice: Provide high-quality physiotherapy care to patients in a variety of settings, including the outpatient clinic, inpatient wards, and community settings.
• Supervision: Supervise physiotherapy students and junior faculty members.
• Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and revision of the physiotherapy curriculum.
• Service: Participate in institutional committees and engage in service activities.
Qualifications
• Master's degree in Physiotherapy or a related field
• Doctoral degree in Physiotherapy (PhD or equivalent) preferred
• Experience in teaching physiotherapy students
• Clinical experience in a relevant healthcare setting
• Strong research skills and publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Skills and Abilities
• Proficiency in various physiotherapy techniques, including manual therapy, electrotherapy, and exercise therapy
• Ability to assess and diagnose patient conditions
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Ability to mentor and guide students
