Job Title : Assistant Professor in MCA & BCA Department at Harsha Institute of Management Studies, Thyamagondlu Hobli, Nelamangala Taluk, Bengaluru Rural District - 562 123.

Qualification and Experience : MCA/MSc (Computer Science)/BE (Computer Science & Engineering/Information Science & Engineering) with minimum 60% marks through regular mode of study . Teaching experience of 2 to 5 years in handling subjects for MCA and BCA students. Freshers can also apply. PhD will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities :

Teaching:

Course Delivery: Design and deliver effective lectures, workshops, and tutorials to undergraduate or postgraduate students in the field of Computer Applications.

Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development, revision, and improvement of course materials, syllabi, and curriculum to ensure they align with industry trends and academic standards.

Assessment and Grading: Design, administer, and grade assignments, quizzes, exams, and projects to evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.

Mentorship: Provide academic and career guidance to students, including advising on course selection, internships, research projects, and post-graduation options.

Research:

Scholarly Activities: Engage in research activities in the field of Computer Applications, which may include publishing research papers, attending conferences, and collaborating with colleagues and students on research projects.

Innovation: Contribute to the development of new ideas, technologies, and approaches within the discipline, fostering innovation and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements.

Administrative:

Departmental Committees: Participate in departmental and institutional committees, meetings, and initiatives related to curriculum development, program assessment, and academic policy.

Student Support: Provide academic support to students, including addressing their concerns, participating in academic advising, and helping with academic planning.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information, and submit necessary reports to the department or administration.

Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development activities, such as attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance teaching and research skills.

Community Engagement:

Industry Collaboration: Foster connections with industry professionals and organizations to facilitate internships, guest lectures, and collaborative projects for students.

Outreach: Engage with the wider community through seminars, workshops, and other outreach activities to promote Computer Applications and its relevance in various sectors.

Other Responsibilities:

Lab Supervision: Oversee and guide students in practical sessions, laboratory work, and software development projects.

Technology Integration: Integrate emerging technologies, tools, and software into the curriculum to enhance students' practical skills and knowledge.

Professional Ethics: Instill a sense of ethical responsibility in students by discussing ethical considerations in computer applications and technology usage.
