Job Description

: Harsha Institutions is seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of Assistant Professor of Forensic Science within the Harsha Institute Of Management Studies.

This is a full-time, tenure-track position that offers an exciting opportunity to teach, conduct research, and contribute to the growth of our Forensic Science program.

• Teach graduate courses in forensic science- CRIMINOLOGY, including but not limited to forensic biology, chemistry, criminalistics, and forensic analysis techniques.
• Actively engage in scholarly research, which may include publishing in peer-reviewed journals, securing research grants, and participating in research projects related to forensic science.
• Mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students, fostering their academic and professional development.
• Participate in departmental and university committees and contribute to the academic community through service activities.
• Stay current with developments in the field of forensic science and actively contribute to curriculum development.

Qualification:

• MSc/Ph.D. in Forensic Science - CRIMINOLOGY, Forensic Biology, Forensic Chemistry, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level. or Post graduate level.
• Strong commitment to research, with a record of scholarly contributions or the potential for future contributions in the field of forensic science.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional experience in a forensic science laboratory.
• Previous experience with curriculum development and program administration.
• Relevant certifications in forensic science (e.g., certification as a Forensic Scientist, Crime Scene Analyst, or similar).
