Job Title : Assistant Professor

Job Summary

The CSE Faculty member will contribute to the academic and research activities of the department by delivering high-quality teaching, engaging in impactful research, and mentoring students. The candidate is expected to stay current with advancements in computer science and engineering, collaborate on projects, and foster a stimulating learning environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching

• Deliver undergraduate and/or graduate courses in core and elective areas of computer science and engineering, such as:
• Programming Languages
• Data Structures and Algorithms
• Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
• Cybersecurity
• Software Engineering
• Cloud Computing / Big Data
• Embedded Systems / IoT
• Other advanced topics relevant to the department.
• Develop and update course materials, including lecture notes, assignments, and assessments.
• Ensure effective classroom management and foster interactive learning.
• Supervise student projects, internships, and theses.

Research

• Conduct independent or collaborative research in computer science and engineering fields.
• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
• Seek research funding and engage in grant writing.
• Collaborate with industry partners to solve real-world problems.

Mentoring and Academic Advising

• Provide guidance to students in their academic and professional growth.
• Mentor students on career development, research opportunities, and higher studies.

Service and Administration

• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and accreditation activities.
• Organize or assist with seminars, workshops, hackathons, and other academic events.
• Serve on institutional committees and contribute to community engagement.

QualificationsEssential

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree may be acceptable for certain roles).
• Strong academic background and teaching expertise in CSE-related domains.
• Proven track record of research publications in reputable journals/conferences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable

• Industry experience in software development, data analytics, or other technical roles.
• Experience with modern teaching tools and online education platforms.
• Familiarity with curriculum design and academic accreditation processes (e.g., ABET, NAAC).
