- Teaching: Delivering lectures, conducting seminars, and overseeing classroom activities for undergraduate and, potentially, postgraduate students in commerce-related subjects such as accounting, finance, economics, marketing, business management, etc
- Curriculum Development: Developing course materials, syllabi, and assessment methods aligned with the curriculum goals and ensuring the relevance of content to the industry
- Research and Publications: Conducting research in commerce-related fields, publishing scholarly articles in academic journals, and presenting research findings at conferences
- Mentoring and Advising: Guiding and mentoring students, providing academic and career advice, and supervising research projects or theses
- Departmental Service: Participating in departmental meetings, serving on committees, contributing to administrative tasks, and collaborating with colleagues on academic initiatives
- A PhD or equivalent terminal degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from an accredited institution
- Experience: Prior teaching experience in higher education institutions or relevant industry experience can be advantageous
- Research Publications: Evidence of research contributions, publications, or presentations in commerce-related topics
