Job Title: Assistant Professor - PGDM Department
Responsibilities:
1. Teaching & Lecturing:
Deliver lectures on various management subjects such as Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, Strategy, etc.
Design and implement course materials, lesson plans, and classroom activities aligned with the PGDM curriculum.
Conduct interactive learning sessions, case studies, and seminars.
2. Curriculum Development:
Assist in developing and revising the course syllabus, ensuring it meets academic standards and industry relevance.
Collaborate with other faculty members to update the curriculum and introduce new teaching methodologies.
3. Student Mentorship:
Provide academic counseling and mentorship to PGDM students.
Guide students in projects, dissertations, and internships.
Evaluate student performance through exams, assignments, and presentations.
4. Research & Publication:
Conduct and publish research in the area of expertise (Management, Marketing, HR, etc.).
Participate in academic conferences, workshops, and seminars.
5. Administrative Roles:
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental policies.
Assist in organizing departmental events, guest lectures, and management fests.
Take up additional roles such as being part of admission committees or examination boards.
6. Industry Engagement:
Maintain relationships with industry professionals and institutions for guest lectures, internships, and placements.
Work with the placement cell to connect students with employment opportunities.
7. Continuous Learning & Development:
Keep up-to-date with advancements in the field of management education.
Attend professional development programs to improve teaching methods and subject knowledge.
Qualifications:
Education:
A PhD or a Master's Degree (MBA/PGDM) in Management or a related field.
Relevant certifications in specialized subjects (e.g., Finance, Marketing, HR) are a plus.
Experience:
Prior teaching experience in management education is preferred but not always mandatory for entry-level positions.
Industry experience in management-related roles adds value.
Skills:
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Proficiency in using modern teaching tools (like e-learning platforms, management software).
Additional Qualities:
Passion for teaching and mentoring students.
Ability to work in teams and handle departmental responsibilities.
