The Post Graduate Medical College in Solan is inviting applications for faculty positions in the Department of Medicine at various levels: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor. The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching, research, and clinical duties within the Department of Medicine, contributing to the academic and clinical mission of the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

For Assistant Professor:

• Deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, and practical sessions to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Supervise and mentor medical students, interns, and residents in clinical settings.
• Engage in scholarly activities, including research projects, publications, and presentations.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and academic committees.
• Provide clinical care to patients in outpatient clinics and inpatient wards under the supervision of senior faculty.

For Associate Professor:

• Assist in curriculum development, academic planning, and program evaluation within the Department of Medicine.
• Conduct lectures, tutorials, and clinical demonstrations for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Mentor junior faculty members, residents, and students in research endeavors and clinical practice.
• Lead research initiatives, secure funding, and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals.
• Collaborate with other departments and institutions to promote interdisciplinary research and education.

For Professor:

• Provide leadership and direction to the Department of Medicine, overseeing academic programs, research activities, and clinical services.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning and engagement.
• Mentor and supervise faculty members, residents, and fellows in their academic and professional development.
• Lead research projects, secure grants, and publish original research in high-impact journals.
• Foster collaborations with national and international experts to advance medical knowledge and patient care.

Requirements:

• MD or equivalent degree in Internal Medicine from a recognized institution.
• Relevant teaching experience in a medical college or university, commensurate with the position applied for.
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research activities.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Registration with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council.
