Job Title: Assistant Merchandiser
Report to: Head of Merchandising
Job Summary:
To execute the procedures around sourcing and procurement of materials under the overall guidance of the Head Merchandising, such that the required materials are available when required.
Role & Responsibilities:
Implement Procurement procedures as laid out in the SOP, including daily purchase activities
Manage supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
Maintain the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
Identify and source new suppliers and vendors
Manage vendor and supplier selection process based on price, quality, support, capacity and reliability
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors
Maintain master catalogue of products and finishes mapped with each vendor
Coordinate with sales vertical to categorise products based on popularity for reorder points
Education & Experience
Min Graduate /Specialization or Certification in SCM or Logistics desirable OR MBA in Logistics and SC
Min 1 year experience in Furniture industry
Purchase Executives are also eligible to apply.
Should know how to raise Purchase Orders (PO) and Vendor Management
