:JOB SCOPEKey Responsibilities

  • Support in the development & qualification of new suppliers/Ingredients ensuring execution of Abbott Recommendations.
  • Understand Abbott requirements & provide onsite support to suppliers in improvements & closing the gaps.
  • Work in collaboration with the JH plant & Mumbai team to understand any coverage/quality challenges & work proactively to resolve them.
  • The incumbent might have to relocate/travel to other supplier locations where managing the day-to-day action plans and communication with QA and technical operations team.
  • To support in implementation/conduct of systems, audits, training, and workshop by Abbott & ensures 100% compliance & no critical findings in Abbott Audits.
  • Monitoring of production activities, in-process checks, Sampling, Cleaning schedules, and Process Control at the supplier site.
  • Site Liaison between Supplier and Abbott.
  • Responsible for quality as per Abbott requirements & appropriate actions in case of deviations, RCA, and CAPA implementation at the site.
  • Ensure quantity fulfillment of supplies as per plan through effective communications with key stakeholders, tracking logistics & Supplies.
  • Develop & Maintain GMP, food safety, Good warehouse practices & Hygiene practices at the Supplier site.
  • Share daily production reports with the Abbott team & escalate abnormalities promptly.
  • Establish weekly, monthly, Quarterly & yearly Quality/Production reports.
  • Work for continuous Improvement & Excellence reduced variations & brings efficiency to the process.

Experience/Knowledge/Technical Skills Required:
  • Bachelor/Masters Degree in Food/Chemical Technology/Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in some or all the following disciplines: Food Processing, Supplier Development, technical services, supplier quality assurance, and Plant operations.
  • Know how- Understanding of Food manufacturing process & Unit Operations.
  • Hands-on experience is preferred in manufacturing of Non-dairy ingredients (like Sugar, Maltodextrin, Edible Oils, Minerals & Vitamins, flavors, Nutritional Products, quality assurance, and technical oversight.
  • Knowledge of general microbiology/ chemical/ Physical hazards and understanding of Analytical testing.
  • Good data analytical skills & knowledge of the statistical process.
  • Good command of Excel & good presentation skills.
