JOB DESCRIPTION Patient Registration & Consultation Welcome & greet patients Help in Registration form & Insurance form fill up Ask about problem of the patient and refer to the concerned doctor Facilitating preliminary assessment for patient Check the patient category - Insured Patient, Corporate Patients (check the staff list), HMO, General Patients Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation including medical insurance Facilitating consultation and diagnostic services for the patient. Handover necessary documents and reports to the patient after OPD services Appointment Booking & Package promotion Book appointments over phone as well as through walk ins Guiding patient to consult the doctor or for receiving diagnostic services as per appointment schedule Promote packages/ Offers as per the patient\'s ability & need Problem Solving & Patient Relations Act as first level of Problem Solving and grievance handling of patients Maintain cordial patient relations Coordinate the Work Flow so as to avoid the delay in the system and to ensure patient satisfaction Ensure patients are informed if a doctor is running late or called out Ensure reception area is well maintained, neat and clean Ensure all standard protocols set by organization are maintained Billing & Insurance Coordination Facilitate smooth billing process for the patient Clarify patient query on billing information Check with Insurance Coordinator for cases requiring approvals Coordinate with insurance desk for insurance related matters Check with the Insurance coordinator about the packages covered Admission & IP services Facilitate smooth admission process for the patient Coordinate with admission desk for room availability, room booking Ensuring patient have smooth and comfortable stay in IP services Communicate patient concerns to respective stake holders and solve the issue at the earliest. Ensuring patient follow-up process and book Coe appointment accordingly. Engineering, Housekeeping & Maintenance Ensuring Coe infrastructural requirements are met and maintained Coordinate with engineering and maintenance dept. for correction and repair works Ensuring housekeeping dept. cleans the dept. properly Quality To maintain JCIA documents, educating new joiners to maintain the quality standards. To participate and contribute to departmental quality initiative. To carryout data collection/support in data collection. Facilitating the admission process smoothly Explains hospital regulations, such as visiting hours, payment of accounts, and schedule of charges. Escorts patient or arranges for escort to assigned room or ward. Enters patient admitting information into computer and routes printed copy to designated department. Obtains signed statement and consent from patient to protect hospital\'s interests. May assign patient to room or ward. May compile data for occupancy and census records. Maximizes revenues by tracking short-term and long-range patient-pay and third-party reimbursement issues recommending potential opportunities preventing revenue-reducing clerical and coding errors. Accomplishes high bed occupancy by following procedures and policies to assure high bed occupancy and control bed availability and patient traffic identifying and monitoring potential problem clerical or system practices. Resolves admissions conflicts by identifying potential conflicts analyzing issues conferring with physicians on admissions priorities and bed availability engaging others to obtain information or to offer assistance. Assures accuracy of patient data and fiscal information by conducting and reviewing daily audits of previous day\'s patient data and fiscal information. Monitors admitting trends by maintaining various categories of statistical data for utilization within internal reporting systems. Keeps patients, relatives, visitors, and admitting staff informed by communicating admitting rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Enhances patient care delivery system by implementing admissions function interface with the nursing and professional staff implementing admissions functions with the emergency room, maternity, out-patient clinic registration, outpatient surgery, and other special care units maintaining bed reservations, financial reimbursement, and other systems. Serves and protects the hospital community by ensuring adherence to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards. Identifies current and future patient admissions requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients, their families, and relatives conducting de-briefing sessions with staff reporting findings. Registration To take responsibility of Lobby, Coe registration process. To inform all the concerned departments about the VIP patients/visits instruction given by CEO /COO office is followed with billing department. Maintaining the entire inventory requirement in admission desk. To be part of monthly departmental meeting and submitting periodical report to the HOD on admission process. To coordinate with Insurance Desk on need basis.
