With 36 production sites in 16 countries in Europe, America, and Asia, Gerresheimer has a global presence and produces locally for the regional markets.We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Assistant Manager for our warehouse operations in Surat, India. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing daily warehouse activities, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining high standards of productivity and safety.

• Assist the Warehouse Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising all warehouse operations
• Manage inventory levels, implement inventory control procedures, and conduct regular audits
• Oversee the receiving, storing, and shipping of goods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance and training as needed
• Implement and maintain safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment
• Analyze warehouse performance metrics and suggest improvements to increase efficiency
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize supply chain processes
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and local regulations
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean management practices

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• 8 above years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems and inventory control software
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively
• Advanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Familiarity with lean management principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and OSHA standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
