JOB DESCRIPTION:Job Purpose:The purpose of the job is to achieve quality assurance duties related to design control, Installation control and Process control with support of individual functional teams. The job encopassess responsibility of validation and qualification of plant and machienry including laboratory equipment, She / He has to manage & facilitate all the activities of Validations, Calibration, products, Change Controls, Implementation of Validation Master Plan at Jhagadia site in order to meet the ANI requirements.Environment , Health and Safety:

• Ensure self and team members consistently follow all EHS rules and procedures.
• Ensure self and team members immediately report any EHS incident and/or near misses (unsafe acts and conditions) promptly to supervision.
• Attend all required safety training and medical surveillance program requirements.
• Ensure self and team members wear all required PPE.
• Consistently take a leadership role in identifying team members who are and are not following procedures
• Complete required STOP observations
• Incur zero injuries of self and team members as a result of unsafe action/behavior or failure to follow established procedures or guidelines.
• Identify and report to supervision opportunities to reduce energy and water use, waste generation within your work area.

Dimensions of the Role:The the job will perform his job in coordination with other departments like engineering and manufacturing and there are no direct reportees

• The position holder is responsible to technical transfer of product and provide QA inputs for trials on process/ Product
• The position holder is responsible for Design Qualification, Operational Qualification, Installation qualification, Process qualification at Jhagadia site and ensures all necessary validation activities are planned and executed according to plan
• Assist in manufacturing process improvement and design control project follow-up or design reviews and provide technical input and assistance, Utilize quality engineering tools and techniques to establish sampling plans, develop quality plans, conduct and participate in FMEA & reliability engineering activities
• The position holder is responsible to implement the Validation Master Plan and execute/facilitates various validation activities for upgraded process & Lab equipment, manufacturing processes, Cleaning, Facility, Computer systems with other functions at site.
• Investigate instances of non-conforming material and facilitate the determination of root cause, corrective/preventive action and recommendation of disposition for the material review board, Review and records for adequacy and compliance with procedures and regulation and review documentation before sending to external customers
• Administer and enhance the engineering change process, support the Validation Manager in planning, coordination and management of specific quality project deliverables attributable to production launch and ramp-up capacities, Participate in internal and external quality audits

Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and procedures specifically by improving design control processes and procedures, Resolve quality assurance issues by working with departments; investigate and plan corrective actions.Key Responsibilities:Primary Function:Operations

• To execute the validations activity during installation of plant and machinery at the site. Ensures facility, Process Equipment, Cleaning, Lab equipment & test methods are validated before commercial production
• Documentaion of of all validation reports and share with all stakeholders
• To carryout the calibration of test and measuring equipment in Quality Assurance, manufacturing and to coordinate with Engineering for overall calibration program at the site as per QMS requirements.
• To implement QMS at site through revalidation and execution of change control trials.
• To implement the Master Validation Plan at the Jhagadia site.
• To maintain the records of all above activities to meet the Quality audit requirements.
• To execute the validation activities of computerized system with coordination of engineering, manufacturing and I.T departments.

Cost

• To support in preparation of Opex & Capex budgets for QA function, making the proposal and close follow-up of execution of new and exisitng projects

People

• Impart training to all stake holders regarding validation and compliance and enhance understanding of Validation Compliance

Compliance

• Ensure all the requirements as per the HACCP, ISO 9000:2000 / QMS elements and implementing the updated requirements in Quality Assurance to improve & sustain the systems

Experience/Knowledge/Technical Skills Required:

• The jobholder requires a scientific background preferably Post Graduate in science, Chemical technology, Food science, Dairy Science from a reputed university with minimum 5-8 years of post graduate qualification experience in Quality function in a continuous process food/ dairy industry. At least 3-4 years as Quality Engineer and exposure to process and product validations in similar industry
• Knowledge of the ISO-9001-2000 requirements & Quality Management System. Knowledge of manufacturing processes. Knowledge of OE/Lean sigma tools & Concepts. Knowledge of Computer applications in Quality processes. Knowledge of good understanding of Validation/Calibration and Process. Knowledge of analytical technique and operation of instruments used in food processing industry.
• Ability to accurately operate and calibrate all QA analytical equipments. Ability to implement site Validation Master Plan in order to validate the manufacturing Process, Installation and Cleaning of Equipments & methods. Ability to execute the product stability study.
