About the Role

Designation : Assistant Manager \xe2\x80\x93 Utilities (Mechanical)

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY :

• Ensure 100 % availability of all ancillary services - Mechanical, of the right quality and quantity.

• Ensure operation & maintenance of the services equipment in line with OEM recommendations & or industry best practices.

• Ensure value for money spent and excellence in quality of workmanship.

• Ensure introduction of contemporary technology / systems, in areas of operation.

• Identify and implement adequate training and development programs for his team members.

• To ensure that all statutory requirements , w.r.t. Pollution control, Weights and measures, Boiler Inspectorate and electricals are met.

• Identify external resources / OEMs for outsourcing of the O & M, facilities management , where applicable.

• Identify, plan & implement energy conservation programmes in areas of responsibility.

• Prepare a yearly plan for the services area in line with unit plan requirements.

• To develop and implement best practice systems in operations, maintenance of the service equipment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS :

KNOWLEDGE - In Depth knowledge of operation and maintenance

of infrastructural equipments, like boilers, DG sets,

etc.

• Maintenance practices, such as, preventive,

Predictive, condition monitoring, etc.

• System design for air, water, etc.

- Working knowledge of computers.

SKILLS - Negotiation skills

• Resource Management
• Analytical & Problem Solving skills
• Team Building & Motivation

EXPERIENCE - Experience in Power Plant, Ships, Process Industry in Maintenance / operation of varied utilities / infrastructure.
