FunctionOperations: Manufacturing, Production, Maintenance, UtilitiesJob Purpose
Reporting to the Head - Technical (Plant), this position is responsible to running the Solvent Extraction Plant and Prep and manage all production activities of the plant. This position is based at Latur locations in India and a team of nearly 50 colleagues report (direct / in-direct) to this position.
Your Responsibilities

• Production planning & controlling of Extraction & Prep plant.
• Managing all the plant operational activities, including employees and machines.
• Optimizing the costs of production. Tracking and controlling variable costs- Solvent, Power and Steam.
• Ensuring each activity is performed safely. Ensuring implementation of permit system. Lock Out Tag Out , Hot work etc.
• Ensuring required trainings like safety, operation etc. for team.
• Responsible for quality of finished products as per norms.
• Ensuring timely delivery of desired quality production. Changing product mix by close coordination with commercial team and warehouse team.
• Regular reviewing inventory of seed meal and oil.
• Tracking Raw material and finished goods by close coordination of shift-in-charges and warehouse in-charges.
• Reviewing and analyzing process parameters for improving performance.
• Estimation of yields of production batches and analyzing the reasons, in case of difference with standard yield.
• Responsible for control and reduction of downtime.
• Responsible for cost effective and timely implementation of the repair program, as well as the preventive maintenance.
• Responsible for managing round the clock operations by optimum utilization of manpower.
• Management of departmental projects.
• Reviewing and compiling necessary management reports, on daily and periodic basis. Keeping records for analysis and feedback.
• Developing and implementing the strategy for the business
• Ensure compliance with company policies
• Observing and complying with products GMP
• Perform all other duties as assigned and required. Basic understanding of regulatory compliances i.e. industrial laws & environmental laws.

Your Profile
Required - Qualification and Experience

• University Degree in Oil technology/Chemical Technology
• 6 - 8 years\' strong related experience.
• Experience of working in a FMCG or manufacturing organization.
• Thorough knowledge of production parameters and procedures, standards, laws and regulations
• Impressive track record and experience within a similar position(s)
• Strong People Management Skills
• Good exposure to business with accounting key deliverables
• Strong Negotiation skills and Budgeting experience
• In depth knowledge of plant safety, regulations and procedures
