Position: Asst Manager - Quality

Role & responsibilities Prepare and maintain the QA manual; oversee amendments and revisions of quality documents and records. Monitor quality-related activities for all orders. Conduct internal and external inspections and testing in accordance with relevant standards. Possess expertise in IS, ASTM, and IRC standards related to steel fabrication, painting, rubbers, and plastics. Ensure vendors meet quality requirements and participate in testing and reviewing incoming raw materials. Lead a team of quality engineers and inspectors. Prepare and manage documentation such as MQAP, test procedures, and SOPs in coordination with the project team. Review production plans and job orders for compliance with quality standards and customer specifications. Develop and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) as per relevant codes and specifications. Monitor welding activities, mechanical testing, and related documentation. Verify welding parameters like voltage, amperage, travel speed, gas flow rate, and gas mixture ratio with approved WPS. Track the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system and implement improvements via Root Cause Analysis, Kaizen, and Poke-yoke. Coordinate and lead all QA/QC activities with factory heads and department in-charges. Lead engineers in in-process and final inspection activities, ensuring records meet client requirements. Manage all quality-related correspondence with customers and their representatives. Oversee inspection schedules and coordinate product testing and final inspection with third-party inspection agencies, clients, and other engineering consultants. Monitor statistical method reporting. Address and resolve customer complaints. Archive QC documentation upon order completion. Monitor the disposition of all issued nonconformance reports. Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements. Qualification
Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical or Civil Engineering ASNT NDT Level -2 certification Team Handling Experience in handling third-party inspections and client product approvals and final inspections Strong knowledge and interpretation of relevant standards Hindi Speaking.
