Company DescriptionForbes Advisor is a new initiative for consumers under the Forbes Marketplace umbrella that provides journalist- and expert-written insights, news and reviews on all things personal finance, health, business, and everyday life decisions. We do this by providing consumers with the knowledge and research they need to make informed decisions they can feel confident in, so they can get back to doing the things they care about most.The Publishing Team is responsible for creating all new Marketplace web pages and optimising existing pages via the CMS across the numerous Marketplace properties. This is in order to meet customer needs and ultimately deliver the business SEO strategy.The team has grown quickly and continues to do so, producing 700+ pieces of content per month, with new areas of responsibility arriving regularly.We are seeking a talented individual to help Forbes Marketplace to lead our publishing efforts. This specialist role is fundamental to the business success, ensuring we are able to publish content quickly, accurately and to a high standard for the first time.A typical day in the life of an Assistant Manager involves working with stakeholders across the SEO and Commercial teams to gather their requirements and working with Publishing Leads to ensure these needs are met by the wider Publishing Team. You will also need to get involved in peer review of formatting work and help troubleshoot issues for the rest of the team.ResponsibilitiesPeer review and monetize all Associates CMS work to identify and resolve formatting issues. Work with the Publishing Leads and Associates to ensure quality is as high as possible.Responsible for implementing the monetization strategy for our site, working closely with the business development team and SEO specialists to optimise revenue opportunities and ensure alignment with overall business goals.Stakeholder management of associated partnerships manager within your vertical. Ensuring that their Publishing requirements are understood and those are passed to the Publishing Leads. Ensure two-way communication with stakeholders, constructively challenging back when asks are not possible. Forecasting potential resource bottlenecks and escalating with team management.SEO liaison - form close working relationships with relevant SEO and Editorial Managers to ensure Publishing and the other departments are working optimally in terms of resourcing and processes.Test new features and components in the staging environment on behalf of the Publishing, ensuring they meet quality standards before release.Wordpress expertise - Make changes to pages in different templates, components using the CMS where required and train new team members when called upon.Troubleshoot problems for SEO and Edit when called upon and call on senior management to resolve more complex issues.Line management responsibilities, such as overseeing the development and performance of a group of team members.Reporting and content tracking where neededSkills and ExperienceWere a team of 50+ so we need people who can work in an agile manner and juggle multiple priorities concurrently across many different product types.CMS experience is crucial and we require three years plus experience of working in Wordpress, AEM or similar. Most of all, were looking for someone who enjoys using CMS and exploiting the opportunities they present to the business.Line management experience is required and you will manage the day to day operations and development of a small team of Associates.An understanding and interest in monetizing content.
